I have started an open ladder competition/clan! A ladder is when you start the game from scratch and it is protected from outside influences in the game.

How we are going to do it is as follows;

1. We all start a new charracter on world Mabon.

2. Join the clan "Ladder"

3. We cannot buy plat or use any plat items like elixers or idols. Also we cannot get gear or gold from friends or our other charracters, what you get must be earned in the ladder.

4. We must make a druid or warrior main in the clan. Other classes can be made but they must be an alt and lower in level than your main. This is to facilitate plat free bossing.

5. We can group, especially but not limited to other players in the ladder.

6. We cannot leave lirs reach. So this allows castle, tavern, crookback, lirs, and catacombs.

7. When 2 players make it to max normal monster level (40) then a countdown timer begins. When the timer is up (probably around a month) then we will open up the next game area, next area to be opened will be Shalemont Ravine. Also when 2 players make it to 40 then recruitment for this ladder season is OVER. So better get in now! If recruiting is closed anyone who wants to join will be put on a waiting list and as soon as the next zone is opened up a new ladder season will start for the people creating new charracters to start at the beginning. This will allow there to always be people to level with and that their doesn't get to be a large level gap between the players.

8. You can buy lux, but it must be with gold you earn in the ladder. You cannot gift yourself gold or items from oter charecters not on the ladder. However you can buy items from them that you could otherwise get yourself. So mounts, agnus McLir armor, lux is all fair game to buy from others or even your other charracters, but if buying from yourself or a friend you must pay fair market value. (no selling yourself lux for 1k! lol).

9. Drops may be collectivized but at this point is at a "reciever's option" standard where the person the drop falls on has the option of what they want to do with it or give it to. Drops must remain in the ladder however unless you were helping another clan and they let you keep it.


make a charecter on Rhiannon and look for a member of the Ladder clan there for more info and an invite. See you on the Ladder and hurry before the time is up!

The real question is - what is your offer for our motivation? Right now, this sounds like a good idea, but lacks the motivation factor. Right now, I look at this and find that it isn't worth my time. Since it is a competition against many people, there should be a First-Place Prize, a Second-Place Prize, and a Third-Place Prize. How do we know that people aren't being honest? We would need an observer for each person to see if they are cheating or not. How are you guys going to enforce the rules? I could honestly just buy anything I need to get to 40 in a day and you wouldn't even notice a thing. It's a gentleman's game, you know? But since this is a game - many scammers and whatnot, do you really think people would abide to the rules of the game? But before everything else could happen - we need a motivation factor to keep me from going to sleep for two days straight.

Lol well thats the thing. If there IS a motivation factor then you need referees like you said. But if there is no motivation factor besides fun, then people stay pretty honest lol. We have only had 1 instance of someone going to shale and possibly getting fettles so we kicked them lol. Trust me it is pretty easy to notice, if someone isn't playing much and levels a lot it is easy to tell especially because we all level together lots of the time.
