The real reason for slow updates!

One day, a young otm designer was working on the computer that houses all otm's critical data. Then the lunch bell rang. The young tech thinks to himself, "I left my own geeky compute in the car. Why should I have to walk all the way out to the car to get it? Ill just use this computer while making myself a well-deserved pb&j sandwich." Alas, the computer only had access to work related things and lo and behold the forums. The young tech thought "well, even though CH is my life and I try to stay away from it when Im off, its better than nothing." So the young tech began reading the forums. At first he was happy. But then he saw posts from a few people that made his jaw drop. His fingers began to shake. Then with a yell of fury, he leaped to his feet glaring at the computer. Yes, my friends, the posts were that annoying. But alas the young tech knocked over a jar of jelly and dropped his pb&j. Both splattered on the computer keyboard(anybody who has spilled jelly on a computer knows what happens when this happens). The tech backed away, horror-struck. Then the janitor came by. He looked at the keyboard and said, "well thats a mess" and gave it a swipe with his squeegee.

Tech: Noooooooooooooo.

Janitor: whaaaat?

Supervisor: your fired!

In that one fell swipe, the janitor reset the computer(which had been only used to work on the next 30 updates.). All the work was lost.

The moral of this story? Try to put yourself in otm's shoes before posting. If most of you are honest, you have little idea how hard it is to program something, or what things can be done on the current engine. Its ok to joke around, or even make suggestions. But if we all are a lot nicer, it will help the community of Celtic heroes as a whole.

Now that I've made my funny/noble post, you guys can bash me.

And the real trick was that I was the janitor.. That's right I've wasted countless hours of players lives while they wait for this game to be even greater

I think the moral of the story is to turn on auto-save.

Lol good story, but I definitely agree with the moral, people should stop bashing OTM for being busy with Android. They will release the engine on IOS in due time, once many the bugs in the engine are fixed.

gave it a swipe with his cleaning thingy(forgot how to spell that stupid word).
Uhhh....rag? I think I spelled it correctly :?

Hey thanks for writing the story. Just to let you know, we are extremely aware of the speed of the updates, we're committed to improving this and have been expanding the team and constantly improving the way we schedule and organise with this in mind. This is why we've shared the objectives for this year (new engine, mounts, tower, crafting, bountyboard etc) so that you know what we're doing. The one thing I would say on a positive note is that the new engine does look great and I'm extremely happy with how it's turned out, we still have a lot of optimising for performance and memory usage, and many improvements are still to be made, but overall it's turned out very well and will be a good foundation to build on for the future of the game.
