Boats

Many people have said that they want other races and what not but the problem is that it doesn't go with the Celtic mythology. I think that the boats that are coming up later should be able to transport people to other countries with other races. This would open up many oppurtunities that don't go with Celtic mythology. I personally don't care about races, but this might appease those players looking for races.

While there might not specifically be other races talked about within Celtic mythology itself, the ancient Celts certainly would have had contact with a large number of races. They are in the historical record as being in several parts of Europe, and seem to have had contact with Egypt as well.

Mummies dating from around 1000 BCE, which are of Celtic/Gaelic/thereabout origin, have been found in China, so the idea that they would have had some sort of contact with nomadic tribes is also not outside the realm of reason.

With that in mind, I think future expansion packs involving races similar to Vikings, Gauls, Goths, Romans, Greeks, Egyptians and Mongols is entirely consistent with the possible history.

Considering the suspension of disbelief required for seeing a hovering sled, I wouldn't find it strange to have my druid running around in Basque.

If you're talking about being able to BE another race, such as a Visigoth or something, well the OTM could probably just change the name to "Mythic Heroes" and create new low level areas in those places.

No offense smelly but the time machine is a horrible idea. Just make a new game, it would ruin the celtic atmosphere if you could come back with cell phones and lasers  Just saying

I don't mean include Greeks Romans Vikings and lorded the rings races because that wouldn't be Celtic heroes. It would just be ancient heroes.

Also this would just an outrageous amount of time to create like 500 new areas just to please certain people.... Not to mention a name change aswell.... It is best stuck with the celtic way it is now.... Maybe in the future we can visit other places, but until then it is best kept how it is and on the path of celtic mythology....
