How much are bronze ingots worth?

How much are bronze ingots worth I was offered as low as 100 or 200 but shop buys for 300.But my friend says its worth a few thousand.Oh and I know it's for a quest but for which?And also I think it might be worth 2-3k cause smelters are pretty rare IMO
