Fire mage helm from event spider gives dex:/

The druid and ice mage helms from spider event bosses give foc/vit. So why do fire mages get stuck with dex/vit(edit: why do fire mages get stuck with dex/foc). I appreciate however, how ridiculousy bias this event is to casters. so keep that up pls!

Yep, fire mages get the shaft again.
The Natach helm or whatever gave ice shards/cloak of fire/energy boost...
The 190 weapon boss mage drop gives ice shards damage...
The necro ring for fire mages gives dex and focus, and ice mages get vit and focus...
So confused, why is it assumed that fire mages love having dex instead of vit?

Having used up to 3 spiritseed sets at the same time i can assure you that dex is almost entirely worthless - doubly so if you are giving up an equal amount of vit for it.
It does help
slightly with avoiding mele hits but does nothing for skills at all. If you are soloing as a druid with howling wind perhaps it may have a slight benefit but by and large for important boss fights, where most would argue the most important battles take place, it's nearly all skill hits.

I know this, which is why I'm so confused. I was the first person on my server to get a gara set, and I instantly hated the dex. If you're being attacked during a boss fight in order to need the dex, then either you don't have enough people and are too weak to control adds/boss aggro.
Please don't put dex in fire mage gear (or mage gear in general). If we want we can rebirth and invest in it if we wish.

Totally agree there's no reason ice mage should get foc and vit then it changes for fire mage

Fire mages get dex/focus because the best DPS build for a fire mage used to be (used to be meaning pre necro loot...probably still is best dps build actually but I have no necro loot to test with) H2H with no mainhand and an offhand 150 fire axe.

Weird design, same type of helm but imperial lvl is vit foc.

It isn't the same.. The vit/foc gives ice magic whereas the dex/foc gives fire magic.
