I enjoyed playing the old cartoon engine when it was smooth simple and good looking for an ios game, now i feel like im playing the laggy version of an over complicated TOO MUCH SHADOWED version of Order and Chaos, which is a better game if you want the above.

CH is rather unique as a game although its graphics may resemble some other games. The skills and loots are unique and this is what attracts me to the game.

Yes looking at it now the majority of us would go back to the old engine because then we can play and we can actually do things without lag and such. However the engine does open up many new features that can be used by otm to improve the game in a next gen way. Right now their problem is the lag, and other issuies cluttering gameplay. Yes it sucks, right now. But in the future it will hopefully improve the game overall. If it ends up not, many many people are going to quit, and otm is going to feel it.

The previous update didn't have the graphics we have now, but people prefered the old rustic graphics which looked bright and full of life with tiny details. Now it's a little dark and the face looks like it's been through intense plastic surgery. But it's probably just the winter theme and will look better for summer.

.
I got an iPad Air 2 from my work for a month and of course installed CH (do work on it?? Hahah).

Suddenly all the Backpack lag on the slider bar disappeared. On my iPad 2 the slider was unusable so only used the filter box.

Of course that isn't the same as lag on a Boss in a crowded area.

But I wonder how many other issues are only related to our hardware or the iOS version we use.

Ie: the skills and loot are really bad and very poorly thought out.

No we didn't need a new engine. There are 1000+ people constantly on a private everquest 1 server that has had no updates for over a decade and more would probably play but it is overcrowded. Games dont need "next gen" capabilities. They need to stick to what they are.
