Requires iOS 8 capable device... Could that lead to problems with old gen devices to to no old gen devices in beta?

im guessing they are probably gonna test the newer versions first (where it absolutely should work) and then test older devices later.

It's because TestFlight only supports iOS 8.

Yep if you see it's the latest iOS it's because of test flight for some reason you need newest iOS versions

No the only problem there is that you can't test beta builds if you don't have iOS 8 and TestFlight but i think you can get TestFlight on iOS6 and iOS7 still but they want iOS 8
