Best to get the most updated device may be cheap must still a waste of money. You want the best for the game for the best experience. You WILL regret it later. You will say only if I invested a bit more...
I mean not just for game but newer iOS updates for the better or worse. Help you with school etc. Work projects.
At school everyone has their school Ipad 2 I have more IPad Air and they are all like,"cool! Do they give those out?" And I will say no I bought it with my own money and suddenly their even more impressed. Then I tell them I have a job and they freak out even more. Got my own car and suddenly you are so cool. And my accent helps.

5s and 6 work well. Don't spend real money on a game if you don't spend real money on the device to play it.

IPhone 4s working good too, although in expectin there phones to get out-of-date with the more content added just like the iPod did
