This is not a suggestion or feedback as we have had many of those regarding this subject but it is a question or two
Is there still an auction house planned?
When will we see this auction house?
What happened in regards to the auction house promised within new engine update?
Can we have any feedback regarding this at all please, progress if any made yet, plans, spread of usage if/when implemented etc

They said an auction house is coming soon.

Something that is a staple in MMOs thats not even here after 4 years is disapointing. Auction house should've been implemented right when OW was released, it just adds so much more to the game.

Im 100% against auction houses.

Heres what will happen if its released. Items will be easier to buy for those who don't take the time to search, which is fine.
But items will be harder to sell, because someone will almost always undercut you on a price.

This makes the game harder for the non plat players who really need the extra gold selling their items. And plat people can just buy stuff and not worry about the selling part, because they can always get more gold.

I can't say I fully understand what you mean fury. I really just like the idea of it because if there is one thing I hate in ch, it's shouting in castle looking for a buyer/seller. I think one of the other benefits is it will keep sellers honest. If you, or anyone, was unsure about buying an item you could always look at what others are sellin it for discretly and anonymously.

Picture you bought a heroic ammy for 160k, and you wanted to sell it for your gold back. You already accept you can't get your gold back so you drop your price to 155k. Seeing how many other ammys are cheaper, you'll never sell yours for that, and you'll have to take a giant loss because of the auction house. Pre auction house selling a heroic ammy for 160 is simple, post auction house it won't be.

This will greatly affect those who can't affor plat and have to farm for gold and such, because a plat player can always just buy more gold and it won't hurt them taking a loss. But the non plat have to work hard for their gold and even a small loss will hurt them.

Not when you spend days searching for a rem/tab or some xps/combos.

Everything is somewhere, if you know where to look.

Rems/tabs you can find from clans(most common), or boss hunters.

Xps and combos you just have to stock up on when you see them, they can seemingly disappear if too many people want to level at once.

While your example is reasonable, I say that with new Lux always being released and devaluing prior lux items means you can bet almost any purchase you make youre going to take a lose on. Depending on a lot of things, taking a 20k hit for an ammy you can wear for 100 lvls isnt the worst thing that can happen. Also, implementing an auction house means you will have more options to shop around

Currently, buying and selling are equally as much work.

With the auction house it will make it a little easier to buy stuff for some people, but it will make selling items a nightmare, throwing off the balance. There will be constant competition and undercutting on prices in the auction house, forcing people who want to sell a common item in a decent time to sell it for dirt cheap.

It would be a big devalue to people's items when the auction house first arrives and everyone starts auctioning their stuff.
When say 5 heroic ammys are for sale, it would be devaluing the people's ammys who own them. It would then make it cheaper to buy, but then that buyer has to take the risk of the same fate of the owner. It affects alota stuff.

That is why I like the current system of no auction house.

The only way i would ever accept having an auction house is if it had a minimum bid option, ensuring like someone doesnt pay 100 gold for your heroic ammulet or something. I would love to see an auction
