Does any body know why we still keep our old warden armour after we get the upgraded version?
Will we need it in the future?

I don't think I could bring myself to do such a thing, although I hope for your sake that this won't be a big deal. Certainly, the meteoric is better, so that's a plus for you.

Frankly, until now I was under the impression that you lost the warden armor once you upgraded it... That is the only reason I haven't upgraded my pieces yet! Let me get this straight though, you upgrade and you still have the ooption to USE either one?

yes..and it is Frustrating. However, atleast you can store it in the upcoming in-game bank.
i fail to see the worth of it though. When everyone gets wardens --which will be soon-- there is no point in keeping old wardens as a "prized possession". Its going to be as common as ancient armors. Soon to drop mine..

I have no use for them anymore but my chief wants me to keep until next patch.(updates)

They have an aesthetic use, if nothing else. I prefer the look of warden over meteoric, at least for mages anyway. Frankly, I like having a full wardrobe at all times.

to keep or not to keep... that is the question. lol well im going to keep mine just to remind me of my adventures in stonevale. other may think of it as a waste of space, but it has a sentimental value to me also when we get banks in the feature, i will stash it in their.
