How are clans running DKP for skain? Putting full sets up for bid, item by item, or something else?

Avalon does a round robin after each event. the more DKP points someone has the more turns they get so its not a traditional round robin. This method allows us to reward those who camped and participated the most in the event removing luck and bidding wars from the equation.

I reckon we would do item upgrades versus sets because Skain sets are only marginally better and the best combos are when you mix and match Gara and Skain items.

Can you explain your round robin a bit more?

Our way works abit like this, you get one pool of DKP for all your toons, skain 5* is worth 5 ekp, skain 6* is worth 10 EKP, for every alt you bring above level 190 you get an extra .5 for 5* and 1 point for 6*, you bid on items that you want, not sets as some people like to combine gara and skain, no point wasting skain pieces that won't be used. Rings are 15 ekp charms are 20 and ammies 25 ekp, you can bid higher than the minimum if you wish and your bid can't exceed the amount of ekp U have

All items are held in the bank until the event ends. Although we do loan out items during so they are used by our members but they're all turned in afterwards when round robin begins.

I'll try to simplify - each 5* is worth 25 pts, each 6* is worth 50 pts. In prior events, we gave out camping bonuses too since folks would stand there for an hour or two and call for help and they should get more points than those who didn't camp. Usually it's like 25% of what the boss is worth.

Anyway, let say Member A earned 5,000 pts and Member B only earned 3.500 points. If an item is, say, worth 1000 points, then Member A can get 2 items before Member B gets a turn. It's only fair because Member A fought about 60 more 5* than B, and deserves more loot.

Although it's not quite as simple as that since we have different values depending on item, and also claiming items for an alt sometimes cost more. But hope you get the gist of it.
