Any of us who have played for any length of time eventually box another account, some out of boredom , some to level better. I am seeing a bad trend on Taranis, IDK if on other servers but its bad there. I took a couple of months break and returned to find several accounts that are around 8 boxed at once. They move into an area and all others are screwed, they cant get access. A few of the accounts are Farmers Union and Rising Dragons. I suppose they have a right but it really hampers the average individual. Kinda pisses me off as its an inconsiderate act.

That's me, I 14-15 box most of the day. If you call taking up 4 of 18 mobs in a room (several more near the entrance) "denying access to an area" then you have some serious math and comprehension issues.

In fact two people were lixing in the same room as 8 of my toons just today, not running out of mobs, and I was actually healing them from time to time. Both were happy and thanked me for the help.

If people come in being extremely rude, and demanding things when I was there first, you will find yourself competing (and likely severely losing mobs as every single alt of mine is decked out, has never lixed, used pots, or many even many idols). If people come in being friendly and asking for some help or some time to lix then they will likely find themselves with a very helpful person on the other end.

Its not my policy to barge in an area where some one is working, I quietly leave. But I return in an hour, 2 hours, 3 hours....wow...day after day it seems.

Blame otm for it taking too long to level. Feel free to come by any time, ask for help or even some lix time if there are several in your party, I do not grief people that do not start things multiple time first. Actually I help.

Also shout or talk regular yellow chat or stand where I can easily see you, preferably on several devices. If you pm me on a single device it gets buried and its doubtful ill see it.

I'm with both of you guys- If I see someone in an area I plan on using, I just leave and wait patiently until they're done. It is a bit upsetting to be doing something by yourself (i.e lixing) when you have the comfort of all the mobs available and not have to worry if running to this certain area is a waste of lix because someone may have killed the mobs there already.
So if I see someone lixing I just leave and return later. If I come back hours later and they are STILL lixing then I will ask politely when they will be done and if I can have a crack at it for a bit. This generally ends in a friendly chat and that person giving me some time to level, and everyone leaves off in a good mood. This doesn't always happen though, because it depends on the people and their actions/reactions.

But I understand that lixing is kind of a thing people like to do alone, so having others killing the mobs you need to lix is a bit frustrating as it is a "waste" of lix. It IS an online game after all, none of us players own a particular area (even with 25 alts all running around at once). So we do have to be considerate of others. That means people sitting in an area for a week and not moving and giving way for other players is an inconsiderate thing to do, and really a bit of a *** move. Yes, we need to level, but there are hundreds of others who also need to level as well. Then there are also those who barge in on those people levelling/farming in a particular area- they don't own the place either, so they can't just take it!

When it all comes down to it, we just have to be considerate of each other. No one person owns the game, and alot of problems can be resolved with a simple chat to the other player. And alot of the time the problems we create are only in our heads.

Lidon, I can relate to your feeling, because I do the same thing as you haha.
And Plus, thanks for being one of those people who aren't so self-centered

Also, for any who come by, I happily group you if you need the mobs for a bounty. Just finished doing this for two people in the last half hour. Always helps to talk nicely to see if people can accommodate, by and large people are usually reasonable.

i enjoy having a 5-8boxer in clan, he quit rosemerta.

PRO: kills everything alone.
I basically give him DL he gets endgame drops etc good fella.
another good thing is that those multy boxer can help get gear for clans rapidly.

I can see how this would be very annoying, especially when it's putting the persons game on hold. Everyone's got a right to do what they want aslong as its within the law or tos in this instance but the problem is there's only two places to grind for anyone the same level, I wish there was more mobs of the same lvl in different areas. Not even gunna mention the mobs in tower cuz I guess after 180-190 the tower is the only place to level and I've not been there, the toon I started on completed the tower entrance quest in 2011/12 and I'm bore of that guy and the toons I play I can't even be bothered doing that quest for them, so if u gotta level in the tower I gues that would be a nightmare

Multiple places would be nice yes. However on my world, and likely most worlds, these bottleneck areas are occupied about 5-10% of the time in any 24 hours. On an open world it's also just as much of an ******* move to assume the whole world revolves around you and everyone must clear out the second you have a whim to log. It's a massive waste to leave these areas empty. Entitled attitudes coming from people is going to create competition, not cooperation.

Further there is always room for 1-2 people to Lix without running out of mobs, even if I am in the same room with a full group of alts. This happens on most days, typically I buff and heal them a bit, even power leveled a few ppls - they are happy not ****** off.

Simply asking is all it takes for me to make room, if that's even needed. Typically so few people level this happens less than once every 80 hours of my logged time.

If you have massive boxer problems, I would recommend switching to boxer briefs.

Also OTM should add some new areas to level in that are comparable to the better areas that people want to level up in. For instance:

• you can level in the Otherworld eye area, or at Fingal's pirates because they have the same level. Everyone knows that the pirates are better because they are easier to kill and more tightly grouped, so people abandoned the eyes.
• Same with the lava field. I can level there, or I can go to the boggan caves. There is no choice there because the boggans are tightly grouped, do less damage, and there is no lava.

So if OTM adds more choices for leveling areas, they need to be similar in usefulness or no one will use them.
