Hey Heroes,

Just a small post to go over some of the updates in Spring and clear up any confusion about our new features!

Nothing major just a little look into new additions.

Pets Update -

(This is permanent content, will not leave at end of Spring)
Pets make their debut in the Spring update beginning with Dogs and Rabbits. Pets can be gained via Pet Tokens found in Seasonal chests or by trading in Hunters Prize Tokens to the Bounty Vendor, Leigh the Sturdy. Pets can be fed with Pet Food to keep them active for 1 hour. To upgrade a pet, trade two pets of the same level to Elva the Pet Breeder to upgrade them. Rabbits have the Natural Focus skill healing health and energy while the Dog has Canine Bite dealing damage and lowering defense.

Bounty Vendors -

(This is permanent content, will not leave at end of Spring)
Bounties will no longer drop Bounty Bags and will now drop Bounty Tokens allowing you to better select your rewards. Tokens can be traded to Leigh the Sturdy for exclusive Bounty hunter Fashion, Pets, Books or Elixirs. Tokens have a chance to drop from all bounties.

Mid-Level Boss Quest -

(This is permanent content, will not leave at end of Spring)
Azhar the Fugitive brings a new quest for heroes in the Otherworld asking you to defeat the minions of Gelebron. In exchange for Contraption Pieces / Cores that can be traded with Holtz the Peddler to create a powerful bracelet boosting either Strength, Dexterity, Focus or Vitality. The "Look to the Future" quest granting Contraption Pieces is a daily quest and "Occulus Rift" granting Cores being weekly. Bracelet can be enhanced up to 9 times.

Auto Levelling Option -

Additional "Auto Level Up" button on the stat screen now automatically assigns your stat points gained on level up based on your class. Perfect for new players to the game who may not know what to spend their points on. Each auto level build is based on class.

Stats Page Changes -

Stats page new visual improvements and explanation of Strength, Dexterity, Focus and Vitality based on class.

Text Box Changes -

New re sizable chat box (Player Feedback ftw!) Text box can now be scaled, re sized and moved.

Ranger Dex Skill Boost -

Boost to all Ranger Dex based skills (Will require dex build to see benefits) to make dex builds a more viable option for players who wish to be. Will not affect strength builds.

Druid Skills Boost -

Boosted damage to Druid skills Stinging Swarm and Storm Touch, reduced cast time on Natures Touch.

Spring Lux Vendors -

New Lux Vendors for Spring found in Otherworld and Bridge of Despair selling stone Lux. Niall the Hunter - Warden's Crossing - Low Tier - Glowstone, Aislin the Hunter - Gelebron's Tower - Mid Tier - Brightstone, Caitlin the Hunter - Vision of Misery (Bridge of Despair) - Top Tier - Shinestone.

Starting Quest Line Changes -

Heroes Landing has now split! Visual improvements to new area and balancing tweaks on starting quest.

New Graphical Settings -

More customization options in the options menu for better device performance.

"Hide Chat Input" Option on Android -

Hide chat option to help with certain keyboard issues on android platform, especially helpful for lower end devices.

Spring Fashion and Mounts -

Highlander fashion woven from rich wool and dyed with the colours of the tribes of the northern islands. New mounts: Razorback Cape, Warthog Staff and new Boar Mount!

Smolach the Annihilator -

6* Smolach the Annihilator and 5* Emberdrake Annihilator found in Lirs Reach by Stone Circle. Garyn the Devastator - level 160 - Carromore. Smoidrich the Destroyer - level 110 - Stonevale. Goil the Marauder - level 60 - Fingals

Seasonal Hat Quest -

Seasonal Hat Quest found in Farcrag Castle from Afallon the Hunter, drive back a plague of snakes to be rewarded a Trappers Cap.

Seasonal Hunt Quest -

Seasonal Hunt Quest found in Farcrag Castle from Seda the Hunter, hunt down beasts to gain a powerful potion and potentially win a Archers Cap.

Spring releases on Monday the 2nd of May for Android and Tuesday the 3rd on iOS!

Could you go into more detail about which ranger skills were changed and in what way?
Is it just dex skills got a damage boost? Or were there other changes like cast time as well.

All dexterity based skills had their base dexterity damage boosted, meaning it will scale with dexterity builds and hopefully make it a more appealing build to all players.

No changes so far to any skill cast times.

The second most often asked question is:

my guild members say their is a attack speed ring in the spring event can you tell me if their is and how will it cost

Answer: No, there is no attack speed ring in the Seasonal lux shop.

Your opinion is that of a level 100 ranger (where dex has always been a viable build). Complaints come from level 200+ rangers.

The "improvements" to dex builds really won't change anything. Not as long as endgame bosses reduce physical dmg taken by 90+ percent and divine dmg makes up most your dps. Your sharpshot will hit for 500 now instead of 400? Nice!

Same goes with mages; buff firebolt all you want and I'd still use my level 200 alt warrior over the best dps mage on the server on most endgame bosses. How sad

Why did you title your list "new content" and include smolach the annihilator in it? It was the same dragon with the same name at the same location as last year. Just a different level and stats (to make us use more plat) and more drops to fill our banks

I sure hope so I'm just now 199 and I think I may test the waters with a full dex Build ,I do enjoy dex Rangers cause high atk and that 1k Light heal

Last I heard drop stats were being tweaked due to player feedback. they will be different from what we saw in beta.

I welcome Smolach back. not only does it keep the story consistent having him come back, but it frees up the art team to work on permanent content. It's a good compromise between the people that like events, and the people that want the team to work on more permanent content. Plus new stats and skills keep him interesting.
