Can anyone describe the affect this has had on ranger builds or elaborate on this for me? I was thinking of making a ranger but wasn't sure if I should take the trusty old Strength route or try a Dexterity based build now that there have been changes.

From what I heard, stick to strength

No one will know till Monday on android and Tuesday on iOS. The changes won't be live until then and no one knows if it will be the same as beta.

I didn't take exact numbers but my sharp and long shot (max theoretical) damage on my ranger seemed to go up by about 10%. Roughly 3.1k --> 3.4k, and 5.5k --> 6.1k, respectively.

I'm pretty sure my light heal didn't change at all, although I could be wrong.

10% isn't game changing.

I took screenshots of my skills before and after the update, and it seems like they received a decent boost.

With 550 total dex:
My Sharpshot went from 1966 at 35/35 to 2338, about a 16% increase.
Longshot at 35/35 went from 2870 to 4087, about a 30% increase.
Light Heal didn't change.
Explosive Arrow at 1/35 went from 48 damage to 56, about a 14% increase- which may or may not be reflective of the increase at higher skill levels.

From my calculations, they added a 50% multiplier to dex base.

So take your dex / 2 and thats about your dmg increase (for SHARPSHOT anyway - have not calculated others).

For sharpshot anyway 100 dex = 150 skill dmg when it was 100 for 100 before.

sharp shot still gets evaded as hell, even though my attack is 3000

*** is a skill so atk wouldnt change hit rate, ranged combat skill does.
