Same as focus, never depending on your build and play style.

It just scales as a square root. So the added damage from 100 to 400 is roughly the same as 400 to 1600 and 1600 to 6400.

I actually took the time to graph auto formula lol

Used formula from Swan's post and did a graph to show the trending of adding STR at lvl 200 with full DL, Thaumaturgic Bow and Runic Pierce Quiver from 100 str and beyond. See for yourselves and comment

eyeballing that graph for numbers, here is what I see:

100-500 str: +680 dmg = 100% (of damage 100-500 str)
500-1000 str: +510 dmg = 75% (of damage 100-500 str)
1000-1500 str: +408 dmg = 60% (of damage 100-500 str)
1500-2000 str: +340 dmg = 50% (of damage 100-500 str)

This is just a rough estimate though, so it could be off.

Roughly right. Still 1k str = 750 dmg (1k-2k) sounds ok if you like full Str, in a lvling build at least.

When I get spare time I'll graph skills :)

I prefer both axis from 0 as it is not as visually obvious what the relative changes are without adding up numbers.

+1 for labeling

-1 for not saying what your bow ability is (base and total) or elemental damage

Weapon ability plays a role but both (bow in this case I guess) and str scale as a square root.

True ability plays a role, but if you hold weapon ability constant then it shouldn't matter over the course of the graph. I was also thinking that elemental damage plays a role as I looked at the graph. The thing to look at is marginal damage, which elemental damage shouldn't change as you increase stats. We also need to understand that this graph is for one person and their unique gear, ability, etc. But the shape of the graph and the marginal damage increase should stay the same, whether or not elemental damage shifts the curve up or down.

And that's about where my math skills end  someone else who's more knowledgeable can talk about this more. I'm out!

My bad lol. The Weapon Stat would be 2700(2000)

And as bitey says, slope wise Elemental damage only moves the graph as a whole upwards or downwards. What determines the inclination of the slope are Str and Weapon Stat.

Thanks for the feedback!

Thru My own testing the graph is pretty spot on. I've found after roughly 1500 str the return on stat points is very minimal in increased DMg. Well done on an easy to comprehend visual aid.
