How many times do I have to kill Apprentices before Masters appear, like the Connacht Apprentices and Masters for the Master weapons. Is it a certain number, or just completely random?

Completely random, can take few kills or a few hours of killing. Goodluck!

It's quite rare. I'd guess the chance is very roughly 1% chance at an apprentice and 0.1% at a master. When the apprentice drops an item it's almost always a shard and not a weapon. I'll guess about a 10% chance at a weapon.

All right, thanks! I didn't know the apprentices could drop them. I have a multitude of bows and arrows from camping, and I've gotten good money, so a couple hours is worth it.
