#2Its impossible to get.
Drop rate of items needed is too rare.. more rare than godly raid items.

Although it may seem impossible I am just one drop away from getting the bear and there are many people on server who have the piece I need. If all goes well I will get the bear by tonight and update with a picture.

Re: bear pet
#4On a par better than a boot...
Bear adds 10 fishing and 10 concentration. needs to be fed like ordinary pets to be active.
With the time spent to get the thing, I think I could have been a millionaire farming pirate captain and pirates .
I'm might as well run around with a sparrow. Just as useless but at least doesn't dig a hole in my pocket with its needs to be fed :/.

Re: bear pet
#7How did you guys already get the bear? Did you buy quest items off of others? I'm fishing level 55 and have only found one single quest item. Is there a secret fishing hole or something? The drop rate is ridiculously low imo, especially if these low level bears are supposed to help new(er) players 1-50. By the time you actually get one its usefulness is negligible.

Re: bear pet
#9Now that I have FINALLY gotten my bear pet I have a few observations:
-Currently once you obtain your tiny bear it's stuck in its most basic form. The quest giver doesn't give you the quest again in order to work towards a level 2 bear. Also the pet trainer in Farcrag castle has nothing to offer either. After all the hard work your literally stuck with a level 1 tiny bear. It would be nice if once you completed the quest for the bear pet that afterwards you could use pet tokens to continue leveling it, or if the quest giver allowed you to repeat the quest in order to level it up.
- The "tiny bear" really is TINY! Rabbits are larger than the bear. I imagined the bear would be larger. Increasing its size would go a long way visually.
-The bears skill "catch" really is useful. The only downside is the long cool down of the skill. Having a second skill to use speeds up fishing time. The long cooldown makes leveling the bear taming ability very very slow.
-The added fishing power and concentration is a nice boost whilst fishing.
Honestly I feel the effort involved towards getting the bear isn't worth the reward. I think the drop rate for quest items should be increased significantly. It's not like you get quest item #1, then you move to item #2. The drops are random and you get duplicates, and all the quest items are very hard to get due to their rarity. It is ridiculous how long it takes to collect all 5 of the items required. I fished like a crazy man for hours and hours everyday; it shouldn't have to be that way. I think the extremely low drop rate may be a big turn off to new players coming to the game. In my opinion fishing should be fun not a insane grind.
