Boar Pets

Their skill is basically a riposte/cloak. What does it effect though. Does it send skill damage back as well as auto attack damage or just auto attack?

only autos i believe. there is nothing in CH that returns back skill damage.

It protects you from dot skills like immolate
My frustration with boar skill is it doesnt list the effectiveness of the skill on skill page or the hud icon
Overall, i love my boar but i cut a level 4 rabbit in half to get my boar to level 5, and the skill is nowhere near as useful as the heal

Yes definitely, the boar has better stats for tank - vit, armor and defense. Dogs have vit and resist crush only.
3 stats vs 2. Glad i waited.

Annoying as hell for the people who spent hours and hours of time leveling a pet and a crazy amount of plat/gold buying them only to find out newer pets are that much better. It'd be ok if we weren't penalized twice for switching. 1/2 tokens back and starting at 0 pet ability is a bit much. Why can't we have a general pet ability like was suggested since pet beta?

I agree. I think 80% tokens back is reasonable and not so punishing.
Pet (and mount) abilities are OTM's new money maker it seems. Wisdom elixirs are now premium items.
