Why are we being penalized twice by the new game feature "mounted combat"? Before if a player died it took an idol costing 1 plat to allow the player to begin again. Now if that same player dies and uses mounted combat it still takes that 1 plat idol, AND a 2 plat mount whistle. Thats 3 plat per death. In the U.S that equates to 3 deaths per dollar. The decision to bring mount whistles into the game basically nullifies the entire mounted combat system. I understand that with a declining player base new ways to generate revenue are needed but double dipping into an area that is already being "taxed" (player death) is a very poor business decision. This is considered freemium taboo and is a sure fire way to drive away players, especially new ones.
Then again the players are being penalized on another front with the new system. Before if a player purchased a mount the mount could be sold or traded however they wished. Players could trade their mounts for gold, items, or both. Now players can not sell or trade their mounts to others. Players can receive 50% of the purchase price back in the form of mount tokens only. Basically unable to ever recover their investment.
OTM, I highly suggest taking your entire mounted combat system back to the drawing board and starting over. This time though, utilize player feedback.
