Male mages dont read the grim

Has anyone else noticed that male mages don't read their DL or edl grims when you stand still for a moment or so? I have noticed that both male and female toons for Druids do but only female mages do for the mages? Is there a reason for this. Was trying to get a cool screenshot but my mage only twirls his wand.
