I am currently level 24 with an axe skill of 130/240. It is nearly impossible to keep my weapon skill at max as I level way faster than skill increases come. What is the max cap for weapons, at this rate I don't think I'll ever be able to skill up another weapon.

Your abilities stay with a max of 10 times your level. At lower levels it is nearly impossible to keep up because you level so quickly, but as you get farther into the game and reach higher levels, it takes longer to level up, giving you time for your abilities to catch up. It is hard to train up a new weapon ability on top of your main one though, which is why most people tend to stick with one weapon type.

For me my abilities aren't maxed until around level 170 usually unless I spend time training them.
There is no "cap" for weapons in the game as of now. The max you can put your abilities at without any gear bonus is 2400 (with max level being 240). Through gear additions such as necro rings and mordy braces however, it is possible to elevate your abilities many fold over what you can get them to just through leveling. There are many players with abilities as high as 8k or more.

At lower levels it isn't too big of a worry. I would spend more of your time leveling and enjoying the game. As you get to be around 180 and higher it may be worth noting and trying to level certain abilities, but even then typically by the time you are done leveling all your abilities will be maxed.


If you find that your abilities aren't working as well as you want to due to their levels however and you want to level them, I recommend using the gladiators that are now in the castle. Find one that is close to your level (at 24 that would be strog) and attack them until you are content with your abilites. These mobs don't award xp on their death outside of the daily quest, so you won't need to worry about leveling faster than the ability goes up and thus you can max out or increase your abilities until you are content with them.
