Glad to see my post is useful :)

Erhm.. Ive been seeing you often nowadays! Keep building your reputation and become more widespread.

I have been asked often what some good items to buy from the new lux-shop... Here is a list of great essentials to have:
1. Master's Grimore (300k)
2. Golden Crown of Wizardry (150k)
3. Revenent Bracelet of Invigoration (50k?)

Also, I reccomend ultimatly aquiring full diamond armor. The focus bonuses are great, and I personally would rather have focus bonuses during a boss fight than the resists if frozen armor.

In my opinion, Focus = Power. When I get full diamond I might go full focus and have a constant abundance going :)

Keep healing, and don't be afraid to say "No" to a boss :)

Thanks for that.

I have diamond and a lot of the folks I play with have been upgrading to frozen and wonder why I still wear my diamond armor. Nice to have a little confirmation that I am making the right choice.

Maybe druids need a better upgrade path for their armor...

I got frozen but only use diamond, everyone always asks me if I need crests and I cry and shake my head no.

One thing I disagree with many Druids on however is focus, and mainly because...

In ALL Stats there is a diminishing return on what you put in and what you get. After you have 600+ focus (+150 from crown/book) 5 more points to 605+ literally raises your heal by like 3 points...it does almost nothing to all your skills, it's a ceiling that some people just barrel thru like focus addicts so used to just focus raising like a lemming... but I think it's a total waste.

Try those 5 points in STR, or in DEX and you will see and night and day difference. Similar to how Stats are on a diminishing return the first 50 points from 5-55 are super charged points. And every 5 points you put in does incredible impact in your Druid in both Melee DMG and dodging Aka less interupts.

So rather than increase your focus from 600 to 650 I would STRONGLY suggest people increase their STR to 30 and DEX to 30 it will help you tremendously and do far more than like 30 points better heal. Greater Wyvern rings (+10 DEX, +10 STR, +10 focus) are also godsends to just test what 10 STR/DEX can do for you. It's a lot.

I forgot to add.. The Master's Grim price was changed to be only 200k.

In my opinion, the druid frozen armor should have at least some focus and vit upgrade. Would make it much more favorable than diamond, which I consider to be the great armor known to Druid.

Teaweasel... I dont know about Arawn, but in Taranis your reputation is based on your heal.

Higher Heal = More Bosses = More Money = More Elixes = Higher Lvl = More Fame = More Fun :)

Those extra 30 heal points could be the difference between being in an Aggragoth group and not. And as I said before, if im standing at a boss and healing, i would much much much rather have the extra focus than the extra DEX or STR. I never lvl solo, (good bye STR), and i am very good at avoiding area atacks like quakes to conserve as many idols as possible (i can go through most Regulas Bosses on >3 deaths). I use any extra focus I can get. After all, it takes many stones to build a wall. For me, Focus is the way to go.

Btw i think CH should refund me 100k...

Hey regen! Once again I wanted to thank you for the well thought out guide to starting your Druid. I followed it when creating my first Druid on Lugh. Originally my main was a Mage on your server Taranis but after getting into the game with my Druid my main quickly changed. I'm now a level 94, almost 95, and have been told that I'm one of the top Druids on our server Lugh, though I feel it was an exaggeration but courteously accepted the compliment. I've done very well for myself outside of the small amount of platinum I've purchased, mainly used on some sigils and inventory space with the help of getting my drag frags. At first I didn't know what I was gonna do at 70+ because that's where your guide stopped, I don't think you had really reached it yet at the time I read the post, but at that point in time I assure all starting Druids you will know what you need to do and the steps you need to take to make further progress in the game. Thank you once again regen and if you ever find yourself in lugh look me up.

Ohh and back to the original reason for me replying to this topic. If admins reading I request this guide to be stickied to help all future Druids! Please!!!!

I know most people won't bother to read 5-7 pages of comments.... But for any of you starting out Druids who read this... Just remember (I know it sounds really cheesey):

Never Give Up

The Druid class is the most boring, frustrating, tedious, ksed, maddening class in the entire game. It takes SOO long to level, and you probably won't be called to boss fights very often. Until you get to lvl 60-70, it is VERY tempting to just make a ranger, rogue, or warrior. I strongly advise you, DON'T DO THIS. Even though the dps character will seem very appealing and such, it is the worse mistake you can make. You WILL (even if you think otherwise) become attached to this character, and eventually you will completely forget about the Druid.

It works like this:

Druid: Sucky at low lvl, Awesome at high lvl
Ranger/Rogue/Warrior: Awesome at low lvl, Sucky at high lvl

Many people are drawn into the idea of instant benefits, and don't plan for the long run. As a high-lvl Druid,'you will be called for tons of bosses, and you will rack up money very fast. The reason for this? because there are not many dedicated Druids. Druids are the most unpopular class, and so on and so on....

I made this guide to bring young Druids out of the misery of "I hate this life" and to ease their sufferings by using this as a mentor into a decent lvl.

I wish good luck to you all, and may the Gods be with You

Happy Healing

HAHAHAHA.

Man. A Druids reputation being based on their heal? That is asinine.

Just think, Druids are completely different builds, though most will max their touch, some use wards, others use abund/bark, others use a myriad.

No offense to Taranis, but viewing a healer on a Leaderboard rather than how attentive, smart, situationally aware, quick to point out adds and potential adds, and just basic group awareness is what makes a Druid....is as shallowly vapid as anything in this game. It misses the point entirely.

Similar to warriors. You can have the best gear, and even a decent build, but a great tank actually hits the buttons in the correct concert to understand the aggro, to understand the potential aggro and understands the adds on healers, times their bash to specific boss/mob skill... NOT using every skill once it goes off cooldown...There is a total difference between a CH button mashed, and a CH savvy timing player and it's especially relevant in Tanking....There is a underlying and real skill based prerequisite to some classes/group roles that is bigger than only your build, or only your items, although these obviously help tremendously.

Druid, and Tank Warrior are two group dynamic roles where actual skill means far more than what number your heal may be. You obviously want it high, but if you split hairs over a 1087 and a 1118 (my heal under a change of 50 focus) like that actually matters at all, yer beyond help. A Druid in a long fight can still turn into a button mashed, don't get me wrong, you only have so many buffs you need to cast in concert with your heals, but bowing to other preconceptions of what a Druid is and not fighting it is sad in my book.

And if players are willing to add 50 points into their 675+ focus to add like 30 points to their heal rather than a smattering of other stats that may help them more simply because they wish to increase their perceived reputation...they are, put quite bluntly, allowing their Druid mind to entropy to the same shallow level as the weak-minded fools around them.

Stop the madness, you build yer rep by being a kick ass Druid in all things, and if yer server only pays attention to the heals, then freaking prove them all wrong. Don't bow to moronics. Challenge them.
