Amazing Melee Build!!!

#1
Ok i have a build and its amazing i can solo any mobs 5-10 lvls above in less then 1-2mins this is a melee build so you will be mainly relying on ur melee

My main skill to use is Howling Wind it is amazing as Morph had said

lvl 94druid Stats:
Str: 5
Dex: 50 (it is important since you dont wanna always miss)
Foc: 235 (improves spells attack and heals)
Vit: 200 (gives health so you dont die)

My skills:

N Touch: 25/25
Howling Wind: 25/25
Vines: 30/25
and the rest in storm touch or of another choice

Items:
Grand ring of Vines
Glass ring of vines
Greater earthstone ring
Energy regain ring (cant remember name)

Bp: Warden chest
Legs: Greater earthstone
Boots: Greater earthstone
Gloves: Heroic Haste
Head: Golden crown of wizardry

Bracelet:
Energy regen one(forgot name)
30 Resist pierce(since i lvl at eyes

Mainhand: Diamond Icon
Offhand: Golden Blade of Ice

With this build here im able to solo eye of dusk and kill it and only lose 1/4 of my health and thats 300hp and 20k xp gain so its worth it
The items i have above are all good but you can always get upgraded ie. Warden-Met-Diamond
But what is needed are the skills and the stats to that ratio

I am able to help in group fights for extra dps or heal (736 27/25)
I can out dps and ranger and warrior my lvl which is very reassuring and can beat all melee classes at pvp my lvl using HW

In conclusion those people who wanna try a new build should go for this one and try and see if u like :)

One thing that needs to be pointed out, for anyone who stumbles upon this is that this build is really only feasible due to the three pieces of Greater Earthstone gear granting a very high defense rating for a druid. Howling Wind requires the offensive counterpart to it (Enemy's Attack Rating) to be lowered to at or below the player's Defense. If your build has no defense, this is unlikely to work for solo play.
I'm in no way saying this build isn't fantastic for those that build a druid around it, gear especially, but don't think you're going to use an alt book and find the 'Win Button' on a whim.
To Illustrate:
I got caught up in the "OMG, HW is AMAZING" rush and tried it for about 3 days, maybe 8-10 hours of actual playtime, almost every minute was grinding, alot of that was solo. My gear is a mix of Diamond and Warden, mostly garbage quest jewelry, and the offhand book. Str is 5, dex is 5. I think my Defense is like 28.
I made a conscious effort before resetting skills to track how much I got hit for about an hour, in addition to a character lifetime history 'gut-feel'. I estimate I dodge or block about 1 in 25 hits. I often had to spam-cast Touch 4-7 times before I got a completed cast.
I reset my skills to include max HW (25/25) and set out to conquer the world. It is my estimation that when fighting the same enemies under the effects of HW, I dodge or block insignificantly more than before maybe 1 in 20. Because I used a large number of skill points from Bark and Abundance to fund HW, I actually died more because I lacked the armor and HP.
In contrast, I grouped briefly with a dex based ranger, and indeed, it pretty well rocked the house fighting trees and Kelpies. He got hit like 3 times the whole fight.

For the TL;DR crowd-
It is my experience that HW is amazing if the enemy's Attack Rating can be dropped to at or below the player's Defense Rating, but is much, much less useful if that's not possible due to low Def, or insanely high Attack.
