Re: Question about sigils

#11
Skills like a very well-timed freeze or shield bash can in fact give you just enough time to get out of combat long enough to have those sigils kick in. This was proved on Lavalord when a tank was timing her bash perfectly so that her sigils kicked in for one tick per bash. Lavalord = on lava.
However to answer your original question and to agree with previous answers, whilst mobs missing you stops skills being interrupted, they are not bypassed by sigils.

i have used the howling wind tactic myself a lot, i have 400 sigils so i figured id try that too. the results where dissapointing tho, as long as you are targeted by the mob you will not regain anything by sigils. however there is a way out of this, if you root the mob and walk out of its hitting range, you will regain for a few tics. so with my 400 (energy)sigils i was able to root a wyvern and do some skills and reroot etc. now it does not wok very well, however when using the howling wind tactic with H2H dps, i use howling wind twice on a mob before its dead, so barely any energy lost, wich regains easily by my sigils in between mobs. in the new cave setup this doesnt really work, unless you drag the wyverns to the wall and take them one by one, as you would get adds on you if you stay in the cave. so if you have lots of sigils, rooting could work, but there is a chance the mob will avoid your roots, wich will bring you in a difficult position. i still suggest buying some energy sigils tho, hp sigils are pretty much useless, unless you buy like 50 for regain on lava field. for support you only need like 150-200 sigils for the average druid to never lose any energy. i only have 400 cuz i dont use any other regain except offhand book. also i had a touch of 49, a bark of 42 and embrace of 34, wich puts me in a huge energy loss.

I have 200 energy sigils, and while i don't solo anything other than the arena boss (crammok), i do run out of energy during that fight. To regain, i just run arund in a circle with him chasing me, making sure to stay in range so he doesn't reset.

Tis probably won't work well most other areas because of the added mobs around you, but it works well for certain situations.

that does work indeed, ive done it too. however you need to be fast enough so the mobs dont hit u for quite a while. it doesnt work very well, the regain is bad and the amount of hp it will probably take is even worse, i still suggest a good root or sigils for in between fights. at a long fight like crammok or wyverns, just use the howling wind and H2H dps tactic, it works very well. only downside is that it requires lots of alteration books to switch around all the time forr important bosses like aggragoth or the penn event boss.

tried this in arena and it helped a lot. I always run out of energy half way.

As I figured sigils is that as long as you r not in combat mode they will kick in and next tic u get is from sigils. There has been moments where mob misses me 3 or 4 times in a row, t those times I gain 1 or 2 ticks from sigils. But if I dodge, parry or take any aggressive action sigils stops. So parry or dodge is combat moves but if mob misses u or you evade mob skill för 5 sec then u get sigil count.

But if u r thinking about sigils the answer is yes they will improve your druid. Recommend 240
