The shapeshifting idea - I really like it too because to me it gives the idea of a druid a kind of unique feel, really similar to WoW when you play a druid and unlock "bear form" for the first time.

I believe it is also historically accurate. Ancient celtic druids often "changed form" as a "practitioner of the mystical arts". On the other hand I am probably stereotyping a little

Dispell should be top on list. If an dmg protection is implied should be self cast only.

A bless spell would be nice to have. Boosts attack, strength, health and speed say at max lvl 10% regardless of other boosts.

The shapeshift just sounds awesome!
