Re: UNinterruptable Nature's Touch????

LOL Dersu, I totally get the answer (and even agree with the Wind, as I still use it @ L1 :D ), but really, how many players benefit from this change for Nature's Touch? How many druids out there, regardless of level and build, have L1 Touch...
It may be a smaller number than those who use a level 1 Wind or Calm, obviously, but I think it help the target audience a lot... ie. low level players.

One of the other changes, for example, was to change the exp reward for the Farmer's Chickens quest. Again, a very good thing for lower levels. The quest was a left over from the origin of the game, I believe. (I base this on the fact that the reward was Celtic blowhorns, which are only useful to players below level 5... no one starting the game now would complete that quest before level 5).

Again, I think it was a choice based on player retention. Hook new players without the frustration of interruption. That being said, you are right in that it is a limited window of usefulness. They should probably bump it up to level 3 or something.
Heh, well not disagreeing with you, but that chicken quest, and the wolf pelt, almost made me quit. Upping their XP wouldn't have helped since I could not complete either (I thnk I finally completed the chicken on my 3rd char... still have not completed the pelt).

Haha. Really? The chickens? You just have to find them and pick them up.

I fully agree with you on the wolf pelt quest, however. That was a pain in the arse. I also made the mistake of selecting the third part first (rare pristine pelts) and couldn't delete or complete it. At level 103 it is STILL in my quest log

Again, I think they are a left over from an old version. At that time, someone could kill wolves for a while to level. Now, most people rocket past the wolves and go into Crookback.

LOL Try doing that on your first day :)

Then consider that I was running around (couldn't recall to stones...) with fettles, mugworths, and other sundries, while being chased by stupid L4 doggies, L7 bandits, etc etc :) It didn't help either that when I did shout for help, the only responder was an ***hat, who basically told me the black chicken was up my ***...

So yea :)

Level 1 Nature's Touch is actually pretty good. I'm a level 36 Druid at the moment, have had a level 73 also, and my touch is at 1. I'm healing 120-ish and that's all the players or myself at our levels really need. This has also been posted out in other posts, which is why I left it at lvl 1 as it being so good for solo'ing at my low level. I figured you can leave it at 1 until 40-50 whichever you feel the players your healing need more of a heal cuz of their now higher hp. I'm currently leveling with level 50's and the 120 heal is enough to keep them alive along with an embrace doing 49 heal per tick. So all in all its fairly decent at 1. This is my opinion anyways :p

I have a level 46 solo DPS druid, using a lvl 1 natures touch. As it is uninterruptable, I can get by healing myself to stay alive (heals 137 atm).

Not sure how much longer I will leave it like this, but its doing me just fine atm - also using maxed shield of bark.
Interesting.

I guess the danger is just that you will eventually need a book of Alt, when you level higher, but if it works for you in the beginning...more power to you.
