i find, interestingly, that bark, while useful, isnt useful when i need it to be. by that, i mean, the big hits that hard to heal and recover from (either on me or my leveling partner) come from skill attacks. I do not know how much bark helps against those, but i don't think very much.
what if find (and i am in boggan area now) is the initial skill attack does the big dmg. and if you (or your partner) attract the attention of multiple mobs, the initial skill attacks can kill faster than i can heal.
I am experimenting with bless right now. it will add 900-1000 to all their evasions. While the difference isn't night and day, i do see more evades (making it easier, over the long haul, to keep my partner alive). It seems to be very nice against bosses.
Bless is interesting since at 1 skill point it only adds 5. i figured that i would only be getting 5 points per skill point i put in, but that is not the case.
This is by no means meant to say Bark is bad. Much has to do with the types of mobs you fight and who you are trying to keep alive. I just want to let people know that Bless might be a hidden gem in some situations.
honestly, i would get rid of the pierce, slash and crush wards (since that is essentially bark), increase bark a little bit, and combine the elemental wards (fire, cold, magic) into a single spell (elemental shield) that works just like bark, but for fire/cold/magic. Right now we have too many spells.
