This is a a question that will require a lot of explaining, so I'll format it as nicely as possible.i know ur like an expert or smth at druidingVines does about 3-4 times the damage of beesbut in my nooby experience (of being killed in arena by 180 druids and killing as a low lvl druid) vines does a max of 2x the dmg of bees. Although (as u undoubtedly know already) vines shows it can have a higher max dmg than bees, vines deal crushing dmg which can be highly resisted, whereas bees shows that its max dmg may be lower than the max of vines, it deals poison dmg, which is hardly, if at all, resisted. Final statement, while killing on my nubby druid i noticed that the damage of bees was more consistent than that of vines. My question is, does the damage of vines and the damage of bees even out, or does vines still have a higher damage output when used on mobs?
I may be wrong (haven't really tested this), but I believe in Arena your vines damage is reduced significantly. As for casting on mobs, during lower lvls vines does less damage than it could, but as your level and focus and natmagic increases so will it's damage.. more so than bees. At level 185, my vines have a stat of 2965 damage, and my bees 916. Even with fluctuation and resists, vines does MUCH more damage than bees on bosses, while bees is hardly noticeable on leveling mobs.but in my nooby experience (of being killed in arena by 180 druids and killing as a low lvl druid) vines does a max of 2x the dmg of bees.
Vines deals Magic Damage.. the description is just misleading.vines deal crushing dmg which can be highly resisted
The point is that even though bees deal poison damage (which is unresisted) and vines deal magic (which as you said, is resisted), vines still ends up doing a LOT more damage than bees.. despite this.whereas bees shows that its max dmg may be lower than the max of vines, it deals poison dmg, which is hardly, if at all, resisted.
There is this thing called Damage Fluctuation: it's the system that OTM placed in so that damage would randomized, and they made the fluctuation value 50%... Meaning that if you hit a training dummy and your max damage is 100, then your hits will range anywhere from 50 to 100. Since bees has lower damage than vines, it's damage has much more consistency.Final statement, while killing on my nubby druid i noticed that the damage of bees was more consistent than that of vines.
As you progress to higher levels, vines pulls ahead of bees more and more. The only time when bees comes close to the same damage as vines is during big end-game bosses that have a LOT of magic resist, but no poison. My question is, does the damage of vines and the damage of bees even out, or does vines still have a higher damage output when used on mobs?
Hopefully this answered all your questions
