I was haste and attack lixed as well. Now I have way better gear: (Keep in mind both of these setups I used pure focus build)

Top build is the one I got kill with, bottom build I haven't tried but I can already tell it's better.

Use a lightning strike skull?

No, two reasons:

1) I don't have one available
2) The EDL totem hasted deals 400 divine damage per hit. (EDL offhand and aura$ that's an average of 300-400 divine damage hits. Pop a haste and attack and you'll hit a fair amount of autos, not to mention my totem hits a 3k proc now and then
