Re: Druid PvP Difficulty?

#14
just a note, being a lv 117 solo druid, my lighting strike damage is about 420 on oak trees, strangling vines is about 230 per tick, natures touch is 872 and embrace is 114 per tick. My Warding is about 560 and Fortitude is abt 830. With the correct set up, gear and rings (I have 1 fable lighting, 4 glass touch, 1 crystal vines) A druid can be both punishing and still supporting class.
Fully noted Morph... I'm not saying building a solid Hybrid build isn't possible, it is. You can solo as a Druid. I just think that especially for group oriented bosses that AoE (when the tank loses aggro, dies or the mob spins outta control and you Natural powerful Nature's Breath) a group oriented Druid with high healing, a specific ward set up and auras is quite special. Many of us have taken the hard choice of sorting our Grand Rings to whatever task we are about to face.

I am rocking a hybrid driuid now and I enjoy it much more to play, but I must admit I am not by any means as potent a group healer as various other Druids, and thats fine. I mean hard choices are hard choices. But yer point is noted.
Just an updated note. I am currently at lv 130. Lighting strike is about 510 on grim golems, strangling vines is about 340 per tick and natures touch is 1036. And yes TeaW I agree with you completely. As per what you original said, its will always be a catch 22 between support and damage. I may *or may not* be a good dps druid along with great natures touch and nature embrace. But I did not invest in any group oriented spells and this is my cost. I only intented to point out a hybrid druid is possible as I have read numerious post about fellow druids being forced to group due to not being able to kill ow mobs. Yes, we may be a support class but Druids can be punishing in damage and can pretty much kill most mobs. (3 stars is hard but possible)

Again, every one of us have different play styles and this works for me well enough.
MorphMarfa has retired from Celtic Heroes and most probably wont be resurfacing. He had a enjoyable time during his druid adventures in Taranis.

Exactly.

And to me, that's pretty cool. It's cool to group with Druids that still use Bark and Abundance, and dps Druids that still use embrace, I just use Aura and Rez and Breath, but we all spec differently and then mix and match our abilities to call out what buffs we will take care of in the fight etc..

It's a system that works, and is quite fulfilling. It's complicated but with like 18 skills, it works best having 3 Druids with different specs buffing your groups

For PvP, the actual topic of this discussion it is possible to make a great pvp build, but yeah it's gonna nerf yer group PvP build, or yer group PvE build somewhat, and again if you have other more support-clan Druids who can complement you it doesn't matter, but it's good to talk it out in clan I think.

My secret to pvp is a fast escape if you keep getting interrupted with heals. My weapon of choice in pvp battle is avalanche sled. If u are getting low on health an u keep getting interrupted with your heals just run far enough away so that u can heal yourself and cast embrace again if it expired. I've been starting to win alot in pvp. And it's fun to see your opponent get frustrated that u have an escape option. I am currently working on a hybrid build but I am not able to max all my damage spells yet due to energy issues but hoping with new lux items will help me to get closer to maximizing my dps. Hope this helps.
