Re: Has anyone looked back into Howling Wind?

I put it up to 20/30 and didn't really notice a difference in boss fights. I suspect it has something to do with how hits versus misses are calculated. Aren't most tanks low in defense (related to dex)? I remember hearing misses are based on the ratio of the attackers attack to the defender's defense. Wouldn't that mean a lower attack from a boss wouldn't miss that much more since the defender doesn't have much defense? That's my theory anyway. I bet it would be more useful for a high dex tank (if there is such a thing).

Like someone else notice, it makes a huge difference on lower level mobs. Before the update, with high wind, I soloed kiara. She couldn't hit me! Maybe one in 10 times...

I like changing skills around for fun. Next time I'll take wind to 34/30 and see if that makes any difference in boss fights.

Thanks for posting, I also wonder if the Boss was a Melee or a Caster. Maybe a Melee bosses Attack is already so large that Wind is like nothing. But a Caster's Attack is more prone to miss? I'm completely speculating, I have no inherent knowledge about this. But thanks for running a better test on it.
