My priority as a druid is to configure the most effective build that allows me to level easiest meaning i will probably be a dps druid.

I also personally expect some kind of otherworld Ambulance-Druids to arise, like will Rez ya if you pay them. Should be funny.

Based on what has been said here about Spring of Life,
I unfortunately see it as a curse. To use Tea's words,
It requires significant skill point investment to be useful. The problem here is people are going to expect druids to have the spell and be able to resurrect them. Those of us who chose not to train the skill, but rather to focus on shield, embrace, touch, lightning, vines, root; we will not be very popular because will will be seen as the reason why people have to spend so much on plat for idols.

I am guessing the devs were counting on melees still needing to buy idols, or at least thinking they need to. Now what they have done (this is just my guess based on what has been said in this thread) is create a way for druids to res others, not themselves, but at a big hit to the development of other skill. We will have to justify ourselves for not investing in res with the community on our world, but we all know outside of our clans, this is likely not to happen, which means people will just find us less integral to their party groups if we do not offer them rez. All the meanwhile, people will continue to buy idols. WIn Win for the devs, they provided a skill some of the community begged for (not me or Tea it seems) and they have done so at enough of a cost to mean druids will have to think very hard if they can afford to do without other essentials. Its like a deal with the devil, it mever works out in your favor. Here is this skill you want, but now you suffer in all other areas. And we know many druids will not do this and the melees will continue to buy lots of idols, but they will just blame their big idol habit on those damn druids.

Fully possible. Druids get 10 new skills in update, far FAR more than other classes, so I don't think that players are gonna hate a Druid for not using Rez. I mean there will be Rez Druids, DPS Druids, Grp Druids and Hybrids and Druids are simply gonna be just very different going forward. That said, players beg and whine and if they blame us, they should just make their own Druid.

I think that some Druids as I joked with Xell above will be able to seriously cash in on this skill. I am certain if a Druid can just wander past a certain point of the OtherWorld, especially at a few Crux areas that are legitimately hard to get to..

And that Druid yells in shout that they are selling Life Springs for 500g a pop, (especially in lvl 120+ mob areas) they will get SERIOUS business. Because I don't care what Sled or Broom you are rocking, the OW is designed to make it hazardous, serious environmental areas that slow you or harm you just by crossing them and don't forget loads of enemies that are all rocking the update 3 class skills that will stun, freeze, root and bolas you down. Long story short, a Rez'ing Druid that is just farming player suffering is gonna make money.

That said, I won't use the spell and I'm not a nice person, so I have no issue blocking people in streams who beg for rezs, just makes my player life quieter.

I did not realize there are ten new skills. I can't wait for your writeup on Druid wants you're able to share that information with us.
It sounds like we will have to decide more specifically than ever before what sort of role as a Druid we want. The great news for us is we can always purchase a book or two and reallocate our stat and skill points.
