You are right, Indira, it is a quandry. And it is compounded by the fact that it is near impossible to get the Warding ability in the first place.

If that quest were easier to obtain, the entire problem would be lessened. Warding SHOULD have been one of the easy quests (like collecting clovers or something) because then Warding would increase as we trudge back through Shale and fight the easy Shale Mages. If that were the case, by the time we got back to Stone to fight Druids, we would be able to solo them effectively. As it stands, Stonevale Druids are blasting me with Lightneing, Storm's Touch, and healing themselves, while I have to use most of my energy just to keep myself healed. If I had Warding, however, I would be able to avoid some of those attacks.

The theory of the new abilities and their progession was sound, I think, and I really appreciate their inclusion in the game. The way in which they were introduced, however, was flawed. I haven't levelled since the update because I have been stuck on the Warding quest. Days and Days of killing 4 stars in Shale and not one - single - stone has dropped on me. I have a pack of Officer Pins, Mac Roth Plates, and Connacht Goblets... but no Cerridwin (sp) stones.

I understand there is a learning curve (both as a player and as a character), but some of this feels downright masochistic. I used to enjoy playing for a couple hours each night, making some money, getting some exp., taking down a boss or two with the clan, and the thrill of the fight. Now I play for two hours, am frustrated at having accomplished nothing (save for a few gold), annoyed with the swarming of Defectors, and wonder why I just put myself through the torture. I'm about ready to throw the iPod itself into the trash.

Druids are the best classto save real money and to survive in yer group. But if you are a druid with a setup like me (touch, embrace, naturesbreath 25/25) and not much ooints on damage skills u are *** when there is no one online to train with. Pf corse there are ppl who dont want to group u nonstop but that are ppl who dont care about money and just buy lots of idols and potions to survive. Own choice to spend money and survive or to not spend money and survive

I see nothing wrong with group leveling and at times it is fun, but should it be a requirement?

The Druid abilities and skills have changed a lot with update and I am not sure for the better.
I still level solo, but I have compromised my healing ability and have to use health pots now and then to survive.
If a mob evades 3-5 spells I have no other options.
When you start to heal and get interrupted two, three, four times in a row, all that is wasted time that you are not doing damage and instead losing health.
Casting spells that get interrupted is a time waster when it comes to keeping dps on your kill.

I am kind of frustrated because I hear of all these new skills, but most of them no one has yet.
Root has been totally nerf and is worthless with evade now. Total pointless skill.
If you get the Spring of Life skill you now have to put 20 plus point into it for it to work.
Natural Breeze - Group heal should be good but again it is a group skill that does not help me level.
Life would have been much easier for us if they would have made Storm's Touch the red book quest and Natural Breeze the blue book.
That way we would have something to level with.

I hope the next patch helps us, or I might just have to start leveling my warrior. A warrior's life is easy and far less complicated.

Hi all

I completely understand all the frustrations that everyone is going through. I started as a druid in world Taranis back in March 2012. Like all of you, it was extremely difficult to kill mobs, takes forever to kill one and on and off, some idiot will come and ks my mob. However, also like many others, I was determined to master Druid class as it is a very challenging class. I managed to reach lv 84 within 2 months before update. I slacked off playing Diablo 3 as it was hard to gain exp. After update, I managed to reach lv 100 within 12 days . Yes, I do have ammy and I also have bodkin but 90% of my time is done via solo levelling and I have never used any potions or elixirs. I don’t know whether this is considered a remarkable accomplishment within that time flame but I am proud of myself being the 2nd druid to reach lv 100 in Taranis World

Druid is meant to be a challenging class. Not only do we get interruptions with our spells but mobs can now evade as well. We have low armour and lowest damage compared to other classes. Yes, we dominate in HPS but it is still very hard to level up. However, this doesn’t mean it cant be achieved and I am living proof. If you are unable to kill eye balls even at lv 90+, I can only assume your build is more healing / group oriented rather than solo / dps build. Tea weasel has already warned us before, Druids cant have it both ways, if you want awesome healing, yr damage will suck big time and affect yr ability in solo levelling. I am not saying heal / group oriented built is not good but u need to be aware of the trade offs. My Vines and Lighting are at 25/25, so yes, I am more dps built but I still heal well at lv 17 Natures touch + 2 glass rings at 600 hp. I don’t have rez yet but this is really a spell I wont bother investing till I am lv120+. Ppl who expects me to rez / natures breeze them gets blocked. Simple as that.

My point at the end day is you really have to understand what matters to you. HPS dominating or being able to solo lv. Lastly, druids may be dependent on groups to lv but it is definitely not impossible to solo level. We can do it!
MorphMarfa has retired from Celtic Heroes and most probably wont be resurfacing. He had a enjoyable time during his druid adventures in Taranis.

I'm drakecos 109 warrior of world epona. For all u Druids out there group is ur best bet. Because that's the role of a Druid is to help other players u heal dmg other class deal it it fits . This update was created based on team work . And I hav found that teaming up with a Druid is ur best bet on xp . Druids lack with other classes have (dps) and other classes lack wat Druids hav ( super heals) it fits we keep each other going non stop killing never having to take a breather( rest) and for those who r poting they will run out faster then u think OW(otherworld) mobs arent playing around they do dmg and will reck u .also rogues hav low armour they will b one of the first to run out of hp pots for there life drops quick no jk. They hav a hard time getting past the eyes and those r the weakest amoug the OW mobs high lvl rogue r not. Also if u don't lik group and helping players y the heck did u choose to b a Druid that's a grouping based class

I have an easy solution for u to get the stones. It requires that u have alt character that hasn't done the defector quest and a Druid that can solo the defector bosses. Get on alt and wait til defector boss show up on map. Once u see x on map and where it is log off real quick and get on Druid and solo boss. That easy. Once u get 2 -3 items of a certain stone and are missing one just trade extra stones for missing one. Done.

I appreciate the idea, Kartier. Finding and killing the 4 stars isn't my problem, however. My problem (which seems to be mine alone) is that I am not getting the stones dropped on me. Must be nice to have 2 or 3 of the same stone, lol. I have killed about 100 4 stars and have one stone.

When I wrote the above, I assumed everyone had the stone problem... after asking around, and finding that most people I know were able to complete it quickly after the last patch, I realized that I have an unfortunate issue alone.

I posted in the Support forum, and Admin has acknowledged that I seem to be having a rare problem. You can read the thread here if you are interested: http://www.onethumbmobile.com/celticher ... =7&t=10170

I've given up on completing this quest as I wanted to, and have resorted to buying the stones. I've wasted a week in Shale.

Yea I'm a lvl 102 warrior in danu and even I find grouping a must, so don't think that because you have to you guys suck and as for being useful if anything the update has made druids even more useful. I love grouping with a Druid (Confuzzled) he keeps me alive with spells and in return I keep him alive and take aggro I think it's a great partnership and in the end we get tons of xp
^That would be me :3

I don't think we should be forced to group in order to level, and those who say grouping is a win-win situation, I'm sorry, it is not. Pre-update, perhaps yes. It was a win-win situation. But with the new abilities, we need to either solo or tank in order to raise the abilities. If we can't solo, and are (essentially) forced to group, the tank gets the benefit of exp, free heals, and can level the new abilities by taking the brunt of magic attacks. The Druid only gains in exp., and abilities are stuck in the basement.
I solo mobs in OW 9 levels higher than me xD
