Can anyone help me with a DPS druid build?

I was wondering if any of the experienced druids can help me with a DPS druid build. Currently, I am only using lightning, vines, bark, embrace and touch. My stats are 6/6/91/51. This is my alt so I haven't invested in any lux for him yet. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

Hm, I'm lvl 98...

Invest points only in Focus and Vitality. Keep vit as low as possible. Max out touch, lightning and vines (and storm when you get it). If you have points for another skill, put in bark.

If you want to invest in lux, get this:
- Heroic Energy
- Bodkin of Spirits
- Speed Gloves
(- Bloodlust helm)

Especially bodkin should be relatively cheap with the new offhands out. Id invest in that before buying a necklace.

Other stuff:
Rings that increase lightning/vines/storm.
Charms with dmg bonus

Xell.... if your a dps... Wouldn't you want to max embrace before natures touch?? :D :D Embrace will keep you alive longer, then touch, because there is a chance you won't be able to use touch in battle. But honestly, I went dps, and I max Lightning first, then embrace, then vines, and finally storm. And yes bark+embrace will keep you alive a lot longer!

Oh and if your skills are maxed by 20/20, i suggest that if you have extra points, dont put it in bark. Put like maybe 5-10 points into touch, and then extra to bark. But don't max them too much!

This is the same build I use except for the bodkin. If you have the gold use the golden ice sword. The new helms will probably fare better than our bloodlusts too. Lux is the key for a dps Druid. I can easily solo 3 star mobs a few levels over me.

Maybe this isn't important..

But i have noticed on my support Druid that even though my Storm's is only 1/25 it does about 125-175 DMG to like-lvled mob's. My lightning at like 17/25 does way more, but often times will lowball at like 200-300. So I got 16 points in Lightning and Zero in Storm's and the difference is often around 100 DMG.

My focus is about 550 so obviously the focus contributes, but I was pretty amazed.

I'm not a DPS Druid, but i wonder if you could indeed roll with embrace rather than touch and do fine.

Hm, interesting... I might try that out. Though I'd rather use shield then embrace, you do take a ton of dmg once you hit trees and kelpies.

Ive tried a number of solo lvling builds for Druid, and honestly, the best PURE dps build involves both embrace and bark if possible. The reason is that when you use the bark/embrace combo, most mobs will be dead by the time embrace runs out if you are dps. This mean you can keep doing damage the whole fight, whereas having to stop and use touch takes away from your dps (especially if your mele is 300 xell).

The only problem I have with nerfing touch is that you become completely useless in groups. I had a hybrid version of this build with a semi-nerfed touch and kingowing (a ranger) was out healing me while tanking and doing the main dps on a boss. I was quite embarrassed and decided to do dps with a maxed touch so I can at least do my job in group fighting.

I am curious which offhand damage lux is best tho -
Blade +75 strength + 200 elemental damage
Trident + 45 strength and dex + 100 elemental damage
Dagger + 20 piercing + 20 poision + 15 hp/mana regen

Xell for instance, I remember reading a post you commented that yr druid was able to deal 300 odd auto damage with diamond totem and offhand ice blade.

Melee druids.. Hmm Sounds pretty cool!

Yeah that's awesome Ozzy and Xell are wielding Druid DPS like a sharp machete, whereas other Druids like myself are still brandishing a plastic spork.

Different strokes, but Ozz and I Exp together with the clan and his bark and embrace rock even though he has a minor Grp heal, but I can cover the Grp healing and the wards and he covers the bark, embrace and vines in the fights.. And the system works fine. Two totally different Druids but together awesome results. He is DPS but he is still really necessary and valued in the clan.

One of the things I really love about Druids now is all the different one's, and how they all can fit together to still get the job done allowing each their own build, but also a accommodating choice for their groups in their support roles.
