Ok well im a newbie druid, well not a newbie I have a lvl 140 ranger but have now started a Druid for an alt. So far I have been focousing on a Hybrid build while I am only lvl 40 I have a few questions. I have read through all the post but I am still a little fuzzy on a few issues so I thought I would pose them to you guys for some quick anwsers. Like I said I do have a high lvl ranger so my alt has his heroic ammy, and money for an offhand is no big issue, so my questions are:

1 What is the best other world lux Offhand and Helm. (I have herd trident is best, but what about venom and the pierce strength multiplyer for druids or will my spells evently largely out weigh by auto attack)

2 I currently have embrace at 12/15 and it does 40 health regen, coupled with my ammy this is quite nice so can I forget about shield (1/15)?

3 What are the best attack spells currently I have been using vines and lightning both at 10/15 are there any better? (I am part of a very strong clan so any other world spells are no problem to get)

4 Do magic damage charms/rings/bracelets have a higher dmg multiplyer for druids like pierce for rangers?

Sorry if these questions have been anwsered but like I said I scoured the foroum prior to starting my alt and these were somethings I was a little fuzzy on.

A magic bracelet +10 is good if you use magic (like druids) also a druid hits with crushing, meaning a crushing bracelet would be better for druids than a slashing damage charm (right?)
I am a full heal druid but got good attacks cause of jewellery (radiant neck and royal/grand rings) so i use the masters grimoire which gives focus and focus makes spells stronger for druids, but for melee damage i would take the venom dagger because there is energey regen on that too which druids really need!

Druids got close to 0 armour so shield of bark is a usefull spell, but i dont use it i rock a 737 ambundance and a 150 embrace and then a high fire ward
But yea shield of bark is good for training

You should get stroms touch for sure (its a quest skill, with stonevale pages) i dont use lightning (just because i got grand/royal for storms and vines

The pierce strength multiplier works, as do crush and slash. Most people who want maximum damage choose one of the tridents, but I see very few druids with damage offhands. I use the golden venom dagger because auto-attack damage and regen suits my play style of dual boxing dps druid main and support druid alt. I seem to recall the venom dagger giving an attack bonus, which means you’ll land more hits. Also, right now no mobs have poison resistance. But for boss runs I replace the dagger with a Master’s Grimoire. The offhand book increases the effectiveness of all spells because of the increased focus: buffs, damage spells and heals will all be stronger.

Keep in mind that OW lux are minimum level 60.

As for helms, I’ll leave that to others since I’m happy with my bloodlust.

On my main (dps-weighted hybrid) I have moderate bark (18/30) and no embrace, but I have a strong embrace on my support druid and I double box. As others have noted, the combo of bark and embrace is pretty sweet. Also, embrace is less interruptible than touch. Again, tradeoffs: do you want a wicked embrace but no natures touch? That might be good for soloing, but not so great for boss fights.

As Kassoe said, get Storm Touch. Up to you how you allocate points, but keep in mind that compared to lightning, storm needs you to be in melee range of the target, casts faster but is interruptible, costs more energy, does more damage, and has three times the cooldown.

As noted above, slash/pierce/crush have a higher dmg multiplier due to strength. The reason you see rangers getting such a boost is because they generally have high strength. The damage of magic/fire/cold/poison boosts is not affected by any of your stats. I’m pretty sure magic/cold/fire damage from equipment is factored into the auto-attack damage and has no effect on your spells.

A note on main weapons: the quartz icon at level 60 will give your spells a bit more potency from its 100 nature magic boost. See if you can get one on loan from a clanmate, or buy it used from another player. I wouldn’t spend a whole lot of money on it since leveling from 60-80 goes pretty quick. The diamond icon at level 80 gives 200 nature magic. When I was solo leveling my support druid from levels 30-60 I used a golden bodkin of spirits.

In dps mode my main at level 133 has a total damage stat around 550. He does 180-300 auto-attack damage on same level mobs, which is more than some of the similar level rangers and warriors I train with. This is due to venom offhand, bloodlust helm, radiant breastplate, +8 poison bracelet and 100 str. Before I got the poison bracelet I would alternate +4 slash/+4 pierce bracelets to see if they made a difference. On golems there didn’t seem to be a difference. I don’t really know how damage is calculated, but from what I understand, my damage is a combination of crush (diamond icon), pierce (golden venom dagger, bloodlust helm), heat (radiant bp) and poison (venom dagger and poison bracelet). Switching gear for boss fights he can still cast a 1025 natures touch.

How you decide to gear up your druid really depends on how you plan to play the toon. My main does intense dps, but is pretty useless levelling without a support druid or someone with higher dps or taunt to hold aggro. But with the right partner levelling goes pretty quick.

I have a trident of magic and I melee about 160-220 on a dummie with a icon that does 45 crush and when my friend let me try out his venom dagger I did about 120-180 so personally I have always preferred the trident
I would also like to know about helms for a hybrid
I'm torn between the 50 magic damage, the 50 focus or 15 energy regen one


P.S. I have 5 strength plus the strength bonuses from the trident and dagger I think trident is 45 idk about venom dagger

what is your spend limit?

orb is better than grimoir if you are on budget, best single item for druid i believe.
i have the orb and the grimoire and prefer the orb-for solo and bossing, for dmg offh i am probly going to get a golden blade of ice, so my melee should go to about 100-140 on norm mobs. get a bunch of energy regens OR energy sigils(if u have enuf energy to kill the mobs u lvl off of, u kill one and ur energy is back to full quickly) i personnallydont know what im gonna go with.

If you are a support druid, I would use a Grimore, they are great for the energy boost. (Not the skill) And DPS... As everyone recommends. The Tridents.
