can i have some help with this plz? i was thinking gr8r solstice (or above) for gear, nothing in dmg dkills and al in healin skills and try do as much dmg as possible with h2h and heat dmg (gear)
any tips on what to put pints into stat wise? i was thinkin just vit and focus, suggestions? and yes this is a take on the mage elite h2h build by mdmicario, and yes, this was inspired by calibans post in that thread, so thank you

Here is what I did with the heat gear... I don't have a full set, but it's enough.

H2H maxed
Offhand trident, for stats (I use magic with the delusional idea that I might eventually get someone to fire and magic lure him)
haste gloves.

I get most of my str and dex from the trident, but buffed the base stats a bit.

He has minimal vit.

He has a lot of focus to boost the abundance, embrace, etc.

Why?

He has:
Maxed Abundance
Maxed Embrace
Maxed Bark

I have run him as a zap Druid with lightning and touch maxed. I have also run max wind, which is better than I thought.

This is not as good for the h2h build.

For the h2h he only uses Max Vines because I do not want to take any cast time. His max vines and melee all hit about the same.

He has no touch at all. None. He runs on his self buffs, is tuff and hits for a ton. He solos single mobs as well as any class. He is not great at multi mobs. If I teamed him with a support Druid I would make the build a bit different, but I made him to solo. He is fun.

Would h2h be better than diamond icon / frozen totem overall in terms of melee damage with h2h / totem abilities maxed?

I understand h2h is really fast and helps in interrupts but does it really outshine the 55/60 crushing dmg from icon / totem in terms of being a dps druid?

I don't have a frozen totem.

My totem is maxed on that Druid. There is no comparison. If you have even some of the fire gear h2h far out performs the totem.

hmm, i dont have the best solstice gear to boost my dmg so would a few points in strngth be a waste?

If you can get a trident those stats help... Both str and dex since dex also effects dps, though not the gross dmg of any one single hit.

It seems to me that Aleph, Squidly, Sav, Xell and others likely know a lot more about this than I do.

ok ty, but im a bit broke atm so i was jut using my golden venom

I used the venom dagger for awhile... But I find the trident much much better, and also then I don't have to do transfers

Haven't looked into. Hand to hand at all... But it sounds solid, if the hand to hand does about what the vines do the hells yeah I wish I had the patience to do 1120 hand to hand ability levels... Which I don't.

you should change to a trident because it has strength, and stuff, i need to go check the shop again.
but it has good regen and good dmg. and you keep on pawning me in duells you killed me in less that 30 seconds.
