Re: Leveling a Druid: When does it feel worth it to you?

#4
My Druid and rogue are about same level. With both wearing the same equipment my Druid is much easier to level than rogue. My rogue dies 40-50% of the time killing 2-3* mobs the same level while my Druid can solo 3-4* mobs easily many levels above it. With the time it takes to kill, rogue can kill slightly faster but time it takes to regen health makes killing mobs alot longer for rogue and plus the time to wait for sneaky attack to recast takes up time as well. Overall I think rogue is easy to level at beginning and Druids are easier to level as u get higher. And of course alot has to do with builds and stats.

I can feel ya on leveling a Druid... Definetly not easy... I guess the time for me was when I realized as far as the otherworld " The Test" quest goes I'm already at The Chained King and I'm only level 95 and it's not because every time I stepped in OW and saw those 2 crossed swords I started spamming everyone for help. I'm that far into the quest because of others messaging me and asking for help... Also very similar to the OP, when I soloed charfire for the first time. It was great cause torwards the end of the fight a couple of my clanmates stumbled along the battle and watched me finish without helping and congratulated my accomplishment!

I don't know.

Some people are their classes. I went immediately to Druid. And it's always felt worth it for me. The Druid, a good one is the master of awareness of enemies, of group mates, of adds or range near adds, of KS'ers, you are trained simply to just know where to be and how to survive. And yeah all that training was worth it to be stepping into OW and seeing so many players who lacked that training... who played such clumsily aware classes & get rolled by eye aggro and hafta relearn what all savvy Druids are trained their entire lvling life's to internalize: Watch the f*** out.

Sure, the class is difficult, but what it teaches you about survival, awareness and group dynamics sets you far far apart from a more easy button class when you get to the OW.

Was introduced to CH back in March this year, went straight to druid as I wanted to try something different from the norm. Instantly love it, because it’s such a delicate class. We don’t have fancy armour, good weapons or high damage spells. Sure we can heal and support but levelling has and will always be hard for druids compared to other classes.
Druids have come a long way and yes this class has its flaws but several seasoned druids have managed to overcome the flaws. Be it interruptions, lack of damage or unable to solo lv. One by one, all these hot topic issues presented under Druid Forums, we have all tackled it. It goes to show how much effort and time we druids have dedicated ourselves to tackle our own problems. Druids aren’t meant for the weak and people who wants to have it easy.

To me, this is what I am proud of.

I have been playing a Druid for over a year. I am now at 145 and am having difficulty getting further along. The problem is that I can not level on my own. I have most of my points in focus so I cast a mean lightening bolt and storms touch. The problem is I can't heal myself...as my heals are always interrupted. So the most xp I can get by myself is 8. If I want to level I have to depend on others grouping with me and I hate depending on others. Before the update, I could level on my own, no problem. I feel this update has ruined the Druid class. I personally hate playing the character. I am always left out of the dps group on boss fights. I am put with the tank to heal. So basically miss out on xp, drops and gold. As a result I am just a very broke Druid. Sorry, but you really do need to fix this class, it is a mess right now.

my main is a warrior but i wanted to see which class can be more fun for an alt, so i created some classes but i chose the druid
hes not high lvl now, only 63, but i love to see how i can heal a lot higher than other classes, and yes its hard for train (even that i have 2 offhands for him and 1 from my warrior for help) its still a lil hard for training, but its also saves time with healing
and untill u will be pure healer u can be hybrid (im using now, touch embrace strike vines)
and i love to see how my druid gets better and being close to the best healers (well not that close, with master's grimoire im healing 612:S but its only on 20)
and also if u r lvling at stonevale its the easiet part for druid, easy to lvl there u only need to stay alive, thats why the embrace helps a lot, giving u more health regen than any stuff u will get
so yea its worth it, when its high lvl its good for bosses, but also warrior is really worth it, he has a lot of health so he can solo a lot of bosses, and when im buying pots and solo stronger bosses im getting better stuff for myself or more gems (like i soloed redbane gemrobber and got diamond ruby and peridot) its a lot easier class for getting gold, and druid is for getting drops

I disagree and like to know how exactly the update has ruined Druids. For a DPS role, we have a new dmg spell Storm Touch and our vines dmg has been boosted. For support role, the built options have increased due to wards specialization and Natures Breath. If anything, druids are actually better and stronger than before.

I am now at lv144 and I can solo 4s lv 140 wyvems. I kid you not. So I can only assume your current built may not be catered properly to solo lv. You have most of your points in focus, to me it means there is a massive opportunity in refitting yr stats into Str, Dex or Vit. In terms of interruptions, this has always been a problem but if you refer to other posts, this has also been tackled. http://www.onethumbmobile.com/celticher ... 48&t=16704

You have been put with the tank to heal while the dps grp kills the boss. This sounds like 2 groups, are you referring to Aggragoth as there shouldn’t be any bosses in the game that requires more than 1 group. Not even 140. In any case, I assume you should be with a clan and this is something you have to work out with them. Being a clan means supporting each other and this should be the case.

I am sorry you feel that you are a broken Druid even at lv 145. This class can shine, I know it does as it has for me. There is really nothing much to fix (maybe mana issues) and it is not at a mess. I really suggest you consider what is your play style and whether you can reskill / restat yr Druid to better suit it. Agn, l like to stress solo levelling is still possible. If I can kill 4s 140 wyvs, so can you.
