Question about sigils

Has anyone tested whether sigils work when the mob can't hit you because of howling wind and autoattack is turned off? Or does it depend on whether the mob is missing or if you're parrying the attack? I could probably test myself with meditate but I heard meditate and recuperate have some differences from sigils ie lava.

I could be wrong here but I didn't think sigils worked on lava. You have an excellent question though. I would like to know if sigils still work while evading attacks and not actually attacking.

I don't know about the howling wind question. I don't think you would evade enough to make it worth while.
Sigils do work on lava but because your constantly taking damage they are sometime disrupted so not as effective.

As long as you are engaged in any type of combat(evading, attacking, casting howling wind) sigils will not work.

Thx entity. But what if u stand there and dont attack back? Is there a difference between u blocking and the enemy missing? And spitfire, it is incredible how often the enemy misses with a good howling wind. Here's a vid of morph using it on wyverns:

It doesnt matter. Once any type of atk happens, you go into battle mode. When in battle mode, no sigils work.

I have heard of mages, such as caliban, using a build which involved freezing the mob to allow sigils to kick in and regen energy. Is this a different scenario because ur being attacked? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm contemplating buying sigils and want to be aware of exactly how they work before I spend money

I am assuming you are not a support druid. As a full support druid you are mostly out of combat and the sigils will constantly be working.
I do not believe you will be able to use them while actively in combat. If you do this and it works please let us know. I am sure many other druids would be interested in this info.

I am currently full support, but am tempted to try a dps solo build. The sigils will be a deciding factor as to how successful it'll be in my opinion. I have never bought plat but depending on whether this works I may buy a few hundred sigils. Does anyone who already has sigils want to get with a howling wind Druid and try this? With meditate it was always removed almost immediately even when I was not targeting the mob. I'm guessing it'll be the same with sigils, but since they don't work exactly the same I would still like to know for certain

If a mob targets you, sigils stop working. If you dodge, parry, or if they miss your sigils still don't work. The reason a mage can freeze an enemy and wait for sigils to work is because freeze make the enemy stop attacking completely for 10 seconds. If the mage dose not target the enemy for those 10 seconds there sigils will kick in. If you want an option like this, Howling Wind will not work. Grasping Roots could work in this capacity, but only when facing an enemy who exclusively uses melee attacks.
