Dragonlod vs Beastbone

I have just gotten my first dragonlod piece for druid and noticed.... Bone is actually better for druid at least.
Dragonlod armors giving us +5 points for skills is amazing.... HOWEVER it also raises the energy usage. Energy usage has been our problem after the update when the effects of sigils changed and Dragonlord armor is just going to make this problem worse. Opposed to that, beastbone armors actually raise the effects of skills, letting the skills remain at same level with same energy usage.
If the +5 to skills increased the effectiveness of a skill more than the bone armor, it was forgivable. High heal= high energy cost would have made sense. The problem is that ancient beastbone armors can compete with with it without the downside. IMO, end game quest armor should not even compete with other quest armors.. especially ones you can get at lower level without killing a major boss.
As I said, I only have one piece of armor so I can't judge it yet, but it seems to me, the beastbone armor is better.

Good point, I suspect the set bonuses from the dragon lord will make it superior to beastbone(quest).

Im happy with the dragon armor. I got gloves and even with the plus 5 lightning skill it increased my heal by 8. Upgrade from the bone armor for sure. What i do hate is the fact that i spent all this time idols and pots not to mention 100s of thousands of gold to aquire all this new awsome gear, but im forced to wear a gear set from last xpac to boss in the new one...... I mean, really, come on with that. So bogus imo. I didnt wear it last xpac cause diamond was better to begin with, and besides all that i think frozen looks silly compared to all the new gear ive acquired.

I like you. I think we will get on just fine.
Saying that, the quest bone is great for drops. I just wish more bogguns dropped the shards.

Id like to see a higher drop rate myself. Im currently farming for the shards to upgrade the chest a second time. Past week i farm probably 15 hours just for the shards and only have gotten 3 so far for the chest. Thats time i could of spent leveling.

OTM has clearly changed the drop rate. I have really struggled to get more than one in a two hour period.

I disagree. I have a feeling the drop rate is related to your level and the mob you are fighting. As you increase your level past the mob level, drop rate decreases. Some clan members noticed this while farming Hawk Chests. In the 80s they dropped like candy. In the 90s they stopped dropping. Many games do this to thwart high levels from farming. Makes you wish you had not XP elixered past their level now huh...
So why does my lvl 150+ warrior have same drop rate? Sounds good though

Actually no i wish i elixered even further along, but the amount of time/money involved in getting max level this time around hasnt left me feeling good about purchasing plat anymore. So i log only to kill a boss when needed pretty much at this point. Also i log in warrior with druid out of group farming bone shards and xp on him.
