Is rescue useful? Cause i just bought it and idk how to use it

You can 'rescue' a person in your group that you can click on. It brings them closer to you.

So in a boss fight, if they were getting attacked by an add or even the boss, you could 'rescue' them, moving them out of range of the attacker.

I thought you could 'rescue' any one in your group no matter where they were, even if they were in another zone, which would make it more useful and fun, but they have to be nearby.

Why in the world would you think you could do something like that. not trying to be mean be that sounds crazy.
