Now that druids get stuck in combat while buffing/healing, has anyone started to melee with support druids?

It depends on your buffs and how often you cast them, if you have sigils its best to not auto at all and hope for an extra tick or two here and there. Our auto is completely sh*t so there isn't much point anyways.

I do when soloing just for a little extra damage but yea as Godzilla said, when in a group i don't so i have a chance for my sigils to kick in.
