I brought this up for mages. I got some feedback and so far these spells seem better suited for druids instead of mages. Gives druids more options for dps.
Arcane storm/blast: magic aoe damage (ik bee swarm is aoe but that's a DOT skill)
Arcane attunment: same effect as ice/fire attunment. Lightning strike and maybe storm touch would be increased by this or the new skill arcane storm/blast I suggested.

#2I really like the ideas, and I think the skills would benefit druids. However, I have to say the same thing I always say when people want to add more druid skills:
Druids have too many skills and not enough points to use them!
I'm not criticizing your idea, because I think it's good. I'm criticizing the way OTM has druids set up right now. There are just too many skills and not enough points to use them. I believe druids have somewhere in the neighborhood of 22 skills. It is pretty much useless if you do not max your skills, so that means that one druid can at best max 4-5 skills. that leaves 17 other skills untouched, which is why I believe OTM really needs to review the entire skill set of druids, and possibly scrap the existing setup and start new.

#3Yeah the skill point issue was brought up in the cure skill topic as well. Still like these skills because 2 dot skills, bees and vines, can be overridden by other druids. Also, druids don't like storm touch because of the range. So, the only atk skill that doesn't have these issues is lightning strike.

#4I'm a newbee here so be nice, but I have only ever run a druid in CH (only started a month and a half ago) and I'm now lvl65, sure, I've spent some on plat. however I think the "beauty" of the Druid is that there are so many skills and that each druid build could actually be slightly different and unique. Having said that, yes, the Druid does seem to have energy issues but to be honest, I only know about these from reading this forum, otherwise I just work around them, when I can't solo a section of a challenge or a something I seek help from others. So for what it's worth I think the only real issue is how quickly Druids run out of energy and the one thing that bugs me the most is how easily interrupted, in particular, our healing skills are. Personally I can live with what we have skills wise, I can live with the energy issues (for now, admittedly I'm not a high level) but I cannot stand having the one skill that I am actually meant to be the best in game at, healing (myself and others) constantly interrupted.
So I like the idea of more skills, especially if its one that can be used to address the above but as Bitey said, I am not sure that's really what's needed or the right path, if it is a path OTM choose then I think this idea has merit.

Instead of continuing to just keep giving us new skills how about they fix the skills we do have at the moment.

#6Might have a solution for warding. Do Multi wardings so put warding of ice, fire, and magic under one skill. Also, combine warding of soldiers, assassin, and giants together under a separate skill as well. This will help reduce the vast amount of skills druids have. Maybe do the same for mages' lures as well.

#7They already combined wards of assassins, soldiers, and giants... Its called 'shield of bark'
I like the magic attunement idea a lot though! And idm that its more skills to play with you can still make a super fun build only using afew skills... Imagine overmax vines, storm, lightning and arcane attunement maxxed!! Omg think of the dps

#8Im actually excited by this idea... Itd have to only add to those two skills though or rogues would complain that druid dps is too good now... And we get nerfed again... Like it a lot! Cmon otm you can do it!!

#9Shield of bark only increases armor not resistance to those 3 dmg types. Magic attunement will effect two skills. Fire/ice attunement only increase 2 skills firebolt/storm, iceshards/blast.They already combined wards of assassins, soldiers, and giants... Its called 'shield of bark'

What i would propose is a skill tree which is for casters only. There would be a healing and damage path for druids and a fire and ice path for mages.
Going down one skill tree would allow you to use the primary skills such as lightning and the further down you go skills would be unlocked such as storm touch and eventually arcane attunement which would be great.
Just an idea but with lots of thought and player feedback (i mean actually asking the player base questions and not just reading) it could work.
