Battle Druid Concept

So in an effort to be different... I thought about how effective a "battle druid" type build would be and I wanna share my thoughts/get feedback.

Let's say the druid is level 120 for all intensive purposes.
The skills being ran would be:
Max Vines
Max Lightning Strike
Max Bark
Max Wind or
Max Bees/Storm Touch/Embrace
Natures Touch at level 1 for uninterrupted heals
A greater Nature Touch charm would be helpful (for 80 added to heal)

Rings would consist of Haste Ring, 2-3 aggy damage rings or any Royal/Grand/Aggy skill ring.
Lvl 100 Lux Axe
Mainhand empty for H2H quickness
70 Damage helm
Lesser/Greater/Radiant BP for added damage
Same leggings or go with vendor/met depending on needs
Boots/Gloves could either be vendor/met or Lesser/Greater/Rad ES as well for added bonuses
Bracelets would most likely need to be at least one energy, and a Aggy skill (bark) or high damage pierce/slash/crush etc
Spectral Talisman of Midnight preferred for the 100 added damage...but I don't have one so Earth Tali would have to suffice

With items, elemental damage could be in the 700+ range. The idea is that you could have more/same amount of armor as a same level ranger/rogue depending on the amount of Earthstone used, will the ability to have a nasty DoT (vines), fairly quick recast damage spell in Lightning Strike with potentially another DoT (bees), hard hitting Storm Touch or an attack reducing Howling Wind to take less hits/damage. On top of that, you can heal for a pretty decent amount without being interrupted, negating a huge need for using lots of restos. The melee damage should be pretty decent as well, when I tried using H2H on my 125 druid with no damage rings, I was hitting for 150ish on same level Blackstone mobs...adding damage rings/helm/Earthstone should increase that quite a bit.

I know the build is a little unorthodox... but being normal isn't always as fun and on paper it seems like this build could be really fun/fast killing.

Thoughts?

If I remember right, Grims only have like 5-10 crushing damage and 3000 attack speed...they'll be slower than H2H and not sure what the damage difference will be, slightly more, but also slower.

ik that, but im talking for purely the health and nature magic, and besides, the auto is only 1 sec slower rly, bare hand does 1 dmg base and attack speed is 2000, i think the grim would be an increase in terms of the buffs only, if you wanna go main auto, i would max mostly healer abilities, maybe even abundance, and maybe even grasping roots, then i think bare hand would be better, but if its not all auto, i think grim would be better.

Abundance just adds to max health... not as beneficial, roots defeats the purpose of a melee build... whats the point in wasting skills that root a mob that you're supposed to be meleeing?

I would think a adamant icon would be both better for the auto attack and the spells, looks good to me overall

What about misc?
At lvl 125 you can equip a Grand Sunfire charm for +50 elemental dmg
Can also be charms to increase the ammount of Natures Touch heal or Lightning Strike dmg
Halloween charms for focus/vit

The one I really want is the Hearth Brooch: +500 hp, 250 atk and a regen skill (I'm currenlty saving up for one or two of these :p)

Edited: oups just re-read your first entry xD. Still I would go for the Hearth Brooch! Hope this helps for feedback.

like i said, what do i know? im still kind of a nub, ive just seen and heard a little bit of everything :P but i said grasping roots to run away and heal if ur in danger :/ ive played druids a little bit(mainly healer bc im a support mindset, everyone b4 urself) and thats why i have the mindset to grasping to let a guy get away from an enemy if my heals are somehow being out dpsed, which at pirates with a lv 70 rouge, wasnt uncommon as a lv 40 druid :P

I regularly switch to hybrid with max vines, lightening, bees, storm, and touch and use an axe and dl totem - works well for solo leveling for me! Friend has a druid and uses H2H for the speed and wears solstice or es armor - he likes it and slices through mobs like butter!

When i got really bored with that, I added the 1Mil halloween ammy and dmg rings. Love the whole concept of mixing druid builds up! A rogue loaned me his dex dagger and i was amazed how just a bit of added dex helped solo level - didnt use nearly as many pots.

Let me know if you ever put your build to the test, Somber! I may shake Rose up with that!
