Build, skills, abilities...

#1
I am now a level 72 and am completely amazed about how much I DONT know about this game! Even reading the guides, it has taken me many reads to finally absorb how many different aspects there are to this game. And I am still a complete NOOB all the time!
As I am getting towards mostly spending time in the OW it occurs to me more and more that I will need to group and that soloing, while doable, has been slow and will be even more so going forward. I need to find partners, which has proven somewhat difficult...BUT, on to my ?????
For reasons I am not even sure, I am using 20/20 Natures Touch (but have a Minor Zealots ring with a whopping 9+ I need to adjust for)
20/20 Lightning Strike - the only real damage I can do
14/20 Abundance - my thinking is for healing and increasing my health
14/20 Howling Wind - to use while lightning cools down
9/20 Shield of Bark
2/20 Bless (9/20 with rings)
I somehow completely missed the embrace deal...I use it, but only as an after thought when buffing or when I am having a particularly hard time with a mob. I do not use vines at all for no reason I can remember. Don't need meditate and I am trying to get Breath, as my alternative to Touch. So.....I am ready to reallocate and this is my thinking:
11/20 Touch (20/20) going for the rings
20/20 Lightening - I just can't give up my only dps...it isn't great, but it is all I have
30 points between Abundance, Embrace, Bark: 10 each? One more than another???
14 between Howling Wind or Vines. Or less? Adding to above or Breath?
2/20 or 9/20 Bless with Rings - so far this one just feels like a nice buff. Am I wrong? The cost does not appear too high...
And finally, how many points as I earn them in Breath or the Wards? I have magic ward right now, and what I can tell, I should leave it at one, but equip
it in one of my slots.

Also, I am not judicious when I am playing...I hit buttons like mad. I get the feeling I need to wait until they cool down - example howling wind, I should wait for it to wear off before using it again, correct? See I told you I was a NOOB!

As far as points, I am all over the place. I started out strictly focus and then changed them and added vitality. Then added dexterity. I need to go back and re-assess:
Strength 10 (waste of 5 points)
Dexterity 30
Focus 229 (329) with my grimoire
Vitality 126
I also have a Heroic Ammy of Rejuv, Rev Bracelet of Revitalisation (I was having problems with health keeping up - getting this may have been a miscalculation), and a greater solstice helm (I love this piece the most) which gives me health and energy of 125 and well as attack evasions. So with my thinking that I am going to be doing a lot more healing than dps-ing I should change these too. I know I should go 100% support but would like to be able to play solo when I can't find folks to group with (which is more often than not). I am ready for all suggestions on this one!

On an unrelated note...whats the best way to get to the dark tower...surprisingly little amount of info on the best way to do this.

I think that is enough for now, for any of you kind enough to take this on, much gratitude.

First off, I would say just use 5 skills at a lower levels. If you get to be a higher level druid when you have rings slots that add +5 and above to skills maybe you should consider using 6
Skills. I would say drop bless as i havent really noticed a big difference with it. Second drop abundance and add a little more vitality. I always say you should have half amount of vitality that you have focus. Dex is helpful if you use howling wind. It's ok tho to have a little dex to help prevent interruptions on healing skills like touch. If you plan on being a support druid i would replace abundance with embrace or breath. If you have hard time with finding groups then go solo and replace abundance with strangling vines as vines is druids highest dps skill. Hopefully that helps. If you have other questions let me know.

Hello lost one! Perhaps I can offer some insight..

You are doing very fine right now, and I think you know much more than you claim to know!

For your skills, while they are rather nice right now, since you seem to be support-based I would recommend:
20/20 Touch
20/20 Bark
20/20 Strike (since you like that)
rest/20 Embrace

I think that embrace over abundance will be good for you, and it is good to max all these skills to be support. While that +9 touch ring may seem good, it is actually rather useless... if you can lay your hands on a ring that adds even +1 to the above skills, use it over the touch one (unless you have other uselss ring slots)

As for your stats, get your hands on a rebirth book and reskill to 200 VIT and everything else in Focus... keep adding to focus as you level.

I hope this helps, and if you ever need advice or help feel free to either pm me, ask a question to just about any druid, or contact someone in most any way. Also, I am sure the high level druid mains on your server will be more than willing to help you with any questions you may have... We are a friendly bunch :D

Thank you for the feedback and encouragement. I was hoping that 9 ring would leave more points for other skills and until I am able to get Natures Touch Rings and go over it would be helpful. I have the 2 Bless - which I never really felt did anything but give me something to buff...I also have a antique totems ring +25 which is just filling the space right now, a Natures Breath +3 that I am anxiously waiting to get natures breath for, ring of soldiers +1 (huh??? ward of soldiers?), bark +1, and a minor stinging swarm. A bit of a ring collector...most given to me.
Interesting on embrace over abundance. I will try it. As well as strike and go back to vines. I didn't know it was stronger than strike...thanks for that.
