Re: Druid Skills

#2
I have a solo build druid and this is what I use: howling wind, vines, lightning, storm touch, natures touch.

With the higher dex type build im using, howling wind is very effective at keeping me alive. Vines, lightning and storm all give me reasonable dps, and natures touch lets me heal myself as well as heal in boss groups or with a partner. I have all of these maxed.

I used to use bees and vines and lightning at lower lvls, but when I redid my stats and skills for howling wind build i went with storm touch instead of bees.

Note that this build uses a considerable amount of energy, so piling on the sigils and/or regen is important. As a Druid, you should be doing this anyway though.

I use a hybrid build as well with a bit more emphasis on the support side.

I also have 2 sets of jewelry that I switch back and forth between solo play and group play.

My natural skills (no rings) are
Nature's touch (25/25)
Nature's breath (25/25)
Lightning (25/25)
Strangling vines (22/25)
Shield of bark (10/25)
Energy harvest (3/25) wasted points.

With my Solo set on these are my skills

Nature touch (25/25)
Nature breath (25/25)
Lightning (45/25)
Vines (30/25)
Bark (15/25)

My group set

Nature touch (35/25)
Rest the same.

My current build is nature touch, bark, storm, vines, lightning.

If i need to focus more towards either dps or support i just swap around my rings and am able to max almost all the skills. With these skills i can solo lvl if needed and even help with bosses using either dps or support well without using an alt book each time

I'd say it depends on your role in the clan. In my clan, I'm the main druid and provide the largest amount of support. I also don't solo unless I have to. I typically duo when lvlin but also don't have an issue finding an xp partner.

What I use -

Touch, breath, swarm, bark, lightening, and embrace

I don't use vines because the other druid that is involved in boss runs has vines maxed and vines don't stack. I also don't like the cast time on vines vs swarm and feel swarm being poison damage gives me more damage than vines which is crush.

I started off with roots, vines, bees, and lightning, with nothing in touch, i did fine up to lvl 120ish. ( no points in heal because mobs cant hit except for skills, and my regen did fine)
However, somewhere in the 120s, it was taking way to long to kill, so i went to wind, vines, lightning, storm, and touch, (went with touch mainly to help clan in boss fights).
Even with no points in dex (unless i use the 50 all stats ammy), i find winds still does awsome job for leveling.
I change up weapons and armor for each situation, and in boss fights with clan, i wear the +500 to nature magic jewlery.
And, dpsing is an energy hog, so i keep buying esigs to help out....

Help me out here. I thought I was dealing with a fraction when assigning skill points. You mean to tell me that I can have X/X, for example, what you are doing with Lightning (45/25)? If that's the case, what does the ratio mean?

Thanks!

The second number represents how many points are available to put into the skill at your level. The first number represents how many points are invested in the skill. With skill rings, you could get a higher number up to 50 points
