There doesn't seem to be an icon that comes up after I cast Calm. How long does it last on the target?

The way I understand it is each attack (auto or skill) will raise the mobs agro per person attacking or healing.

So, basically the whole fight (until reset or mob death).

Calm is a skill that reduces aggro on the player it was cast on.
Calm is not a buff/debuff, meaning instead that the effect is immeadiate.

Its like your heals, but it instead reduces the 'want' of the mob to attack you.

Does the skill effect "stack" on the player? Or is it one cast and that's all you get you greedy . . . I'm trying to decide if I want to dedicate skill Pt.'s. The cool down is so fast that I would be able to cast multiple times during an attack. I hope I'm making sense here.

Yes. Just as the agro stacks as the battle goes on so will your calm. I'd try it out for a while just at level one. It helps even there.
I wouldn't recommend calm unless you have very few warriors around for bosses. Usually for leveling a rogue or even ranger can handle mobs around their level with a few heals.

From Regenleif's Guide to Druid Sabotage:

Calm: Calm is a very effective, but very noticeable skill. Basically what it does is drastically reduces the target's aggo, so the boss does not attack them. I find this skill extremely useful for slaughtering DPS characters by casting maxed calm on a tank, and even more effective when a ranger is bolasing.

My interest is for the above purpose. Retribution, in the field. Where one’s LVL or Clan affiliation can't prohibit me from dolling out some medicine.

Best usage for Calm is when you are in a fight and one of the alts start attacking you, but no DPS helps... Cast Calm on yourself (do not select any member, or simply select the mob attacking you) and the chance it will leave you is very high. Even at level 1.
