I have not seen this posted but I know a lot of players do a fair amount of testing.
Has anyone compiled a list of approximate mob resistance to determine the best use of lures. I know bosses are crazy high but I'm wondering about things like golems, horses and wvyrens.
If anyone has compiled a list I would love to see it. I'm sure it's a lot of work so I am certainly not asking anyone to do this just wondering if the info is already out there.
Re: MOB resists
#2Nobody is 100% sure of the resist mechanics. Once we understand how it works, we can then reverse this knowledge in actual data collecting via battles and figuring out values.I have not seen this posted but I know a lot of players do a fair amount of testing.

So far, mdimarco has shown his lead on this in another topic but hasn't completely figured it out. This means we cannot come up with actual numbers yet.

Re: MOB resists
#3So basically you just end up maxing the lure you want.
Even with max lure the hit numbers fluctuate wildly!
The simplest example is on a training dummy.

Re: MOB resists
#4Thanks. I tend to max lures for support also but another post a week back made me wonder if I should reconsider.

Re: MOB resists
#5Well we do know how resists work pretty well. I will dig up that old post and complete it, then it just needs to verified in wider circumstances.
However that doesn't mean I know every mobs resist even with that post done. But by recording damage numbers on mobs and using my post we could figure it out.
Now, that said here is the important part of this post.
On golems and fire golems I find that they have just under 400 fire resist and 270 cold resist, because I crept my lures up to that and can hit maximum numbers with my lures at those values.

Why play a class where skills cost more than other classes for same damage?
Why play a class with no auto attack?
Why play a class with 1/3 the armor?
Why play a caster?

#6Sweet, good to know about the lure amount you need for those. Please let me know when you hit the various Wyverns.Well we do know how resists work pretty well. I will dig up that old post and complete it, then it just needs to verified in wider circumstances.

Re: MOB resists
#7sure thing, and more accurate numbers on magma golems turned out to be 410 fire and 100 ice.

Re: MOB resists
#8Is it possible for a maxed lure to lower the resist of a boss to near zero?

Re: MOB resists
#9if fire golems' cold resist is 100 like marc said , then probably yes, with high foc/low focus and lure of ice around lvl 7 i guess its possibleIs it possible for a maxed lure to lower the resist of a boss to near zero?

#10What I meant was if it is possible to reduce the fire resist of a boss (that has high fire resist) to zero with a maxed fire lure.if fire golems' cold resist is 100 like marc said , then probably yes, with high foc/low focus and lure of ice around lvl 7 i guess its possibleIs it possible for a maxed lure to lower the resist of a boss to near zero?
