Energy shield suggestion (from a non-mage)

#1
For starters, I am not a mage. I have a lure mage, but that's it. Never tried using a conventional mage build. I am a rogue, and no this isn't a whining post.

Ok so I agree with 90% of the balancing patch. Damage nerfs were pretty good in terms of balancing classes. 45% on blast may be a bit much, but we'll see in time.

But here is the main point of my post. Energy shield did not need a nerf. The opposite, in fact. I know mages have terrible armour. Dragonlord gloves for warrior have almost the same armour as my mage's frozen bp.
We know OTM can make skills different in PvP, so I propose this:
Not only change energy shield back to how it was, but either give the shield a bit of a boost or reduce the energy cost.

BUT here's the kicker!

Before people yell "but it's fken op in pvp!", what if the skill was reduced in effectiveness in pvp mode just like heals?

There's my two cents.

but i dont think it should be better than it was
should be just the same as it was

except instead of lasting for 1 min 30 secs
it should last for like 2 mins or 3 mins

during the small amount of time that i leveled my mage nothing could break my shield that i only have 4 points on
the shield just ended up fading...

No one was complaining about eshield. There *were* complaints based on PVP, but those were addressed. I repeat: No one was complaining about eshield in this update.

Honestly, I'm feeling a bit hopeless. I was a beta tester, and I feel like all my work was for nothing. What most of you don't know is that they already nerfed mages in beta. After the nerfing, everyone was on board. And then--poof!--in live, they went and changed it again!

Let's not forget the cool down. My energy shield costs more energy than its health protection. It is broken faster now and, oh, just for s***ts and grins, I have to sit around after a 1 star or 2 star below my level and wait around for it to finish its cool down so I can recast it for another mob who's going to break it again.

If you're going to decrease the effectiveness, you need to decrease the cool down. But, honestly, just put it back the way it was.

Kiy you destroyed me in pvp BEFORE the nerf and that was with full strength eshield, full power spells, the works. And I'm a higher level than you.
So? I'm awesome :D
but seriously, i wasn't the one complaining. I can take a mages shield out in seconds but i hear it everyday...''mages op in arena''...''im not duelling a mage i cant even get through their shield''...''unfair'' etc
