Re: Why the aggressive mage nerf ?

Elim is right. Classes are not yet balanced a few changes need to be made. Rend and barbed will sort out rogue being number 1 dps and give alot of help to a ranger(its why im constantly going on about it)

Rangers sharpen weapon needs to be halfed for group and be made into posion imo and another skill given to Help support or there damage skills need a fix so it makes then less of a support class.
Brookie1 lvl 172+ rogue rosmerta. Best damn rogue ever! Clan awakening

28 pages and Mage is still best at : dps , burst damage , Aoe damage , offensive support and energy healing .

Hmm what's rogue best at ?

What's ranger best at ?
Mages are missing one thing: Auto-attacks. And we don't have haste elixers that make us cast super-fast either. I understand u people seem to miss a lot, but guess what, the reality is mages do too.

Wtf ya talkin about ? First you have plat items you can use , energy pots , restos , super energy lix energizer lix , super combo . Second , you have hth and 700 damage from lux your auto is as good as any other class whn lure is considered. 3rd dude I have a 150 Mage I don't need a lesson on skills missing :) some of "us people" know wtf we are talkin about :)

Are you denying Mage is best dps ? Best burst damage? Best aoe attacks ? Best offensive support ? Best energy support ?

Basically I asked what rogue or ranger is best at and you said they have good weapons , well so what ? The dps with those great weapons still does not stack up against Mage .

You don't seem to understand , I'm getting beat by mages in xp and bosses even if I am on haste or combo , lol it's a joke at this point man please spare me any typeof explanation how Mage isn't pwning this game , even with the nerf.
Well, at my level mages are not overpowered as much as you say. At least I don't think so. OTM is nerfing all-level mages because of these kind of complaints, and it's making me irritated.

When in a group, it is quite easy to think that mages are overpowered, when others see us causing fairly high burst damage for brief periods of time. Soloing is another matter completely. We need that high damage in order to survive long enough. Our eshield and defences are pretty pathetic. I use sigils at the moment, and if they don’t return to the store, then I can see that I’m going to have to drop a skill and use eboost, because I didn’t buy enough. Taking out 30+ points to put in eshield, eboost, points in lure, really paralyses us from being able to do much else. These skills are a necessity; other classes don’t have this problem as much. Therefore, I cannot see how mages are overpowered at all. I wondered whether we need another skill to help us evade attacks more, but this just means more skill points that we would have to take out from somewhere.

OTM seriously needs to address the issue of skill points. Perhaps if all classes were given more skill points, but somehow limit how we can distribute them, to prevent everyone just putting all points in attacking skills, would prevent us from becoming overpowered.

Hand to hand Mage is fastest solo killer in my experience, so no solo skills is just not true lol.

The complaint is not how good mages are ,i wish everyone , including otm would realize this , the problem is the other classes need to be as good as them in some way.

Majority of the posts i have read (less the rage post) on other classes are exactly what Eli said, we want our classes in some way or other in comparable to mages. We have never asked for mages to be nerf.
MorphMarfa has retired from Celtic Heroes and most probably wont be resurfacing. He had a enjoyable time during his druid adventures in Taranis.

I don't have 300k to spend on a golden blade and heroic gloves.

Your bad at soloing good at everything else. New mobs arnt for solo anyway which makes you overpowered.
your comment is kinda support nerfing mage which is not the right solution as many mages problem isn't not being op. their problem is survival abilities of mage and soloing (soloing 3* mobs same lvl is not much issue for high end gears with the right build but much trouble for mages without top gears) so the new update with nerfing becomes too expensive for mages who prefer low-medium spending

My proposed solutions:
1. Increase rogue dps and lower their survival abilities (nerf armours even lower than mage, nerf reflex, nerf lifesteal, etc...) so no mage wouldn't complain!! jk though, this is not a good sulotion as it doesn't solve mage problem. My real proposed solution is option 2 as below
2. Give more options of survival abilities to mage so mages can choose their way of either lowening their dps to increase their survival abilities (example mage new skill that can create cloning to fool mobs to attack it instead of caster while caster become invisible until that cloning distroyed, attack others, time out, etc...)
- Reduce bosses defence so all auto attacks are more sufficient so that pure dps rogue is equal to pure dps mage

some of my english may not correct but hope all can understand

Yes. Melee mage was an option before now they nerfed the build so melee isn't an option anymore. Wow reducing options? Not a good idea to make a game grow lol.
Nerfed Mage ~140
Why play a class where skills cost more than other classes for same damage?
Why play a class with no auto attack?
Why play a class with 1/3 the armor?
Why play a caster?

Copy this sig! :)
