Hey guys,
What gets better when you upgrade Energy Shield? Also, to take less energy each
time you get hit (from using Energy Shield), is it better to upgrade your stat points
on focus, or to upgrade Energy Shield?

I believe it was previously posted by Admin that at 1/10 Energy Shield you lose 3 points of energy for each point of damage you take, and at 10/10 Energy Shield you lose 1 point of energy for each point of damage you take. I may be a little off on my numbers for 1/10.

As far as which is better, points in focus or points in Energy Shield, I can not help you. I didn't start using Energy Shield until I has in my mid 80's, at which time I did a rebirth/reskill to incorporate Energy Shield, so I have never used it at anything but 10/10.

Well, you can read my posts under the Mage area under the thread called "Still new with my Mage" for my stats and skills. I am mostly a vitality mage, but I do have my focus set at 80 right now. I also get energy bonuses from my gear, warden and lux shop. I am finally sporting a heroic ammy and a spirit shield. So I have dabbled in energy shield some again.

I do it mostly on the Red place holder mini-bosses. It saves me about 1/2 the pots I or a warrior tank would usually use without the energy shield. My HP's are over 2,200 and when u use my energy well I have over 800 energy. So When I use my energy shield I in effect have about 3,300 Hp. I use some restoration pots, which are great btw because they instantly fill some of my Hp and all of my energy.

Using energy shield is a lot of fun and work. I cannot wait to raise my energy well more so it will be even better. But if you are wearing a Twin Soul ammy and have a Targe shield, I say forget about it. Be mostly all Vitality.

you get less energy per focus point than health per vitality point. So here, I think you can already see which is better to upgrade. Along with that, armor has weight and spells cost energy, so E Shield only has tactical use as of now.

Yeah, I don't really use energy shield at all, I'm saving up for the mighty crown shield of spirits, so my focus and health can regen faster. Though from what it seems, pvp makes energy shield really important.

Theolden focus provides better resistance to fire, ice, and magic rather than armor (crush, pierce, slash). From what I have heard, resistance will be vital for the dragon. Maybe even more useful for mobs in the update.

Better having the golden focus and the shield that costs 120k without weight
Then you can switch, take the shield if you need armor or the focus if you need resist, that's what i'm doing

I'm probably gonna sitck with my Shield of Spirits for now. See what the update has to offer me.

Yes it's better to save money for update cuz i'm sure there will be expensive things to buy and better than the actual lux items
